**The Role**

The Accounting Team plays a vital role in supporting the organisation through key financial processes, including cash matching, posting AP invoices, and supporting sales settlements. The team ensures compliance with tax regulations while delivering accurate financial information and reporting, both internally and externally.

Javelin Krakow is now in its third year of operation, making this an exciting time to join a growing company. The Accounting Team is globally distributed across London, Krakow, Bangalore, and Singapore, offering exposure to international colleagues while still providing in-person support from the Krakow office. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on accounting experience and make a meaningful impact on the company’s financial operations.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

-   Verifying sales invoices
-   Supporting sales settlements
-   Processing and booking purchase invoices
-   Handling cost accruals and related documentation
-   Verifying accounting documents in terms of formal, accounting, and substantive accuracy
-   Verifying VAT registers and preparing tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission
-   Preparing Intrastat and GUS reports
-   Ensuring accounting processes are compliant with local regulations and company policies
-   Posting and coding accounting documents in accordance with applicable regulations
-   Supporting bank statement posting
-   Reconciling and reviewing ledger accounts and registers
-   Preparing reports based on accounting records
-   Actively participating in month-end and year-end closing processes
-   Supporting the preparation of documentation for external auditors

## Requirements

**Skills and Experience Required:**

-   Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting department in a local Polish company in a similar role.
-   Degree in Finance and Accounting or a related field
-   Fluent Polish and good written and verbal communication skills in English
-   Strong knowledge of Polish accounting principles and local tax regulations
-   Very good command of MS Office, especially Excel
-   Accuracy, reliability, and strong attention to detail
-   Analytical thinking and ability to work under time pressure
-   Good organization skills, independence, and proactive approach
-   Team-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving skills
-   Willingness to work from our Kraków office full time
