**What is Lead Corporate Communications?**

The Lead Corporate Communications role is vital in driving both internal engagement and external communications, amplifying our social impact initiatives, and advancing financial literacy across wider communities. This role ensures that all communication efforts, internal and external, are aligned with the company's mission to build digital inclusion and empower people financially.

This role shapes our narrative on how we contribute to social development, financial education, and community empowerment. It covers managing media relations, safeguarding brand reputation, and amplifying stories through strategic external channels. By collaborating closely with internal teams, media, and external partners, the Lead Corporate Communications fosters a culture of transparency, trust, and shared purpose.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the Lead Corporate Communications collaborates across departments and with external stakeholders to design impactful communication strategies that engage employees, media, and the communities we serve.

**What does Lead Corporate Communications do?**

-   Internal Engagement & Employee Communication: Develop and deliver compelling communication campaigns, newsletters, and updates that keep employees informed, inspired, and aligned with our social impact goals and financial literacy programmes.
-   External Communications & Media Relations: Develop and execute proactive media outreach strategies, building strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and key opinion leaders to shape external narratives and secure positive coverage.
-   Social Impact Storytelling: Highlight and share stories around our initiatives that promote financial inclusion, digital access, and community development, building awareness and pride both internally and through external forums and media channels.
-   Financial Literacy Advocacy: Work with relevant teams to communicate financial education programmes that empower customers and employees, ensuring messaging is clear, accessible, and engaging across all channels.
-   Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Support partnerships and collaborations that amplify our social impact, coordinating communications that reinforce our role as a responsible and impactful corporate citizen.
-   Thought Leadership & Industry Positioning: Position the company as a leader in digital inclusion and financial empowerment by promoting insights and success stories through internal channels, external forums, conferences, and community events.
-   Reputation & Crisis Management: Monitor emerging issues, formulate strategic responses, and safeguard the company's brand from reputational risks, ensuring consistent and trusted messaging in all circumstances.
-   Content Creation & Multimedia: Design content including videos, graphics, presentations, press releases, and articles that bring our social purpose and financial literacy efforts to life across internal and external channels.
-   Measurement & Analysis: Track the effectiveness of communications across social impact initiatives, media engagements, and external campaigns to continually refine strategies and maximise engagement and awareness.

## Requirements

**What are we looking for and what does it require to be Lead Corporate Communications?**

-   A degree in Communications, Media, PR, Journalism, Business, or related fields.
-   8-10 years of experience in strategic communication, with a strong track record across internal communications, media relations, social impact storytelling.
-   Expertise in digital communication tools, multimedia content creation, and social media.
-   Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring communication effectiveness across employee programmes, media campaigns, and social impact initiatives.
-   Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, capable of simplifying complex financial and social topics for diverse audiences across internal and external channels.
-   Experience managing external communications across traditional media, digital platforms, and industry events, including crisis and reputation management.
-   Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and foster engagement among employees, media, and external stakeholders.
-   Creative, proactive, and adaptable mindset, comfortable managing multiple initiatives with a purpose-driven approach.
