### Introduction:

We are currently looking for a Fibre Optic Technician to join our client's team. Our client is a leading telecommunications company that specializes in providing high-speed fibre optic network solutions to various industries.

### Responsibilities:

-   Installation and termination of fibre optic cables and connectors.
-   Performing fibre optic splicing and testing using OTDR and other testing equipment.
-   Troubleshooting and resolving fibre optic network issues.
-   Working with various fibre optic connectors, fusion splicers, and other tools and equipment.
-   Adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner.
-   Documenting work assignments and completing necessary paperwork.
-   Communicating with team members and project managers to ensure successful completion of projects.
-   Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and latest fibre optic technologies.

### Requirements:

-   Prior experience in fibre optic installation, termination, and splicing.
-   Knowledge of fibre optic testing equipment such as OTDR.
-   Ability to read and interpret fibre optic plans and diagrams.
-   Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-   Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
-   Good communication and teamwork skills.
-   Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different work sites.
-   Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
-   Relevant certifications in fibre optic technology are preferred.
