## Description

**General Operative – Cold Storage & Warehousing**

Our client is Ireland’s leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics and warehousing. Serving chilled, frozen, ambient, and blast‑frozen goods, the company operates across multiple depots in Ireland.

### **Pay**

**€13.50 per hour**

### **Role Summary**

As a General Operative, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of cold storage and warehousing functions. This hands-on role supports the broader logistics team in maintaining operational standards, product integrity, and efficiency.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Receive, inspect, and store goods into chilled, frozen, or ambient storage areas.
-   Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch orders according to client specifications.
-   Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory control.
-   Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage zones.
-   Operate handling equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, forklifts) safely and efficiently.
-   Assist with blast freezing, tempering, and defrosting processes as required  .
-   Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
-   Collaborate with transport partners to coordinate inbound/outbound logistics  .

### **Required Skills & Experience**

-   Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage environments preferred.
-   Ability to work in refrigerated conditions comfortably.
-   Forklift or pallet truck certification advantageous.
-   Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
-   Good physical fitness and manual dexterity—this is an active, hands-on position.
-   Valid driving license a plus, especially for multi-site operations.
-   Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

### **Qualifications & Personal Attributes**

-   Basic literacy and numeracy.
-   Awareness of food safety and cold chain principles is an asset.
-   Reliable, punctual, and ready to contribute to a dynamic team.
-   Flexible approach—open to shift work, including early starts, late finishes, or weekends.
