## Description

**Position Summary**

The Senior Data Scientist plays a key role in designing and delivering AI, machine learning, and automation solutions that drive business impact across retail and digital transformation initiatives. This role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross functional technology teams to develop scalable, production-ready AI solutions and support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end **AI/ML and automation** solutions.
-   Build scalable **data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and predictive models.**
-   Apply **machine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, and experimentation techniques** to solve business problems.
-   Collaborate with **business and technology teams** to translate business needs into **AI/ML solutions.**
-   Implement and support **MLOps practices** including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and CI/CD workflows.
-   Develop **GenAI/LLM-based applications and automation tools** to improve operational efficiency.
-   Participate in **Agile/Scrum** ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
-   Mentor junior data scientists through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
-   Ensure proper documentation, maintainability, and scalability of AI solutions.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics,** or related field.
-   **5+ years** of experience in **Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied AI.**
-   Strong programming skills in **Python and SQL.**
-   Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as **Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.**
-   Experience with big data processing and cloud platforms such as **PySpark and Azure Databricks.**
-   Strong understanding of **statistics, forecasting, experimentation, and model evaluation.**
-   Experience with **MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring processes.**
-   Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders.
-   Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Additional Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience in **retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or digital business environments.**
-   Familiarity with **Azure ML, MLflow, Airflow, Docker, or Kubernetes.**
-   Experience with **GenAI, LLM applications, prompt engineering, or RAG pipelines**.
-   Understanding of **data governance and PDPA** considerations.
-   Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
-   Certifications in **AI, Cloud, or Data Science** are a plus.
