## Description

For a Leading Dry bulk Shipping Company: Freight Collection Specialist

**Responsibilities:**

-   Ensure the timely and accurate collection of freight and hire payments
-   Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of freight collection processes and maintaining operational excellence

-   Follow up on late-time collections, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve delays and discrepancies efficiently
-   Perform precise laytime calculations and handle demurrage claims to ensure accurate settlements

-   Analyze voyage details and contracts to validate time allowances and identify discrepancies
-   Oversee the preparation and processing of Disbursement Accounts (DAs)
-   Ensure proper cost allocation and compliance with company policies and industry standards
-   Maintain and update vessel position lists to provide real-time visibility on fleet movements and operational efficiency
-   Communicate with insurance companies to obtain quotations, confirm coverage, and verify compliance with sanctions
-   Mitigate risks in high-risk operational areas by ensuring proper insurance measures are in place

## Requirements

-   Minimum 2 years of experience in freight collection, with exposure to late-time collections, laytime calculations, and demurrage processes
-   Strong knowledge of voyage charters, time charters, and hire statements
-   Familiarity with the preparation and analysis of Disbursement Accounts (DAs)
-   Proficient in managing insurance-related processes, including compliance checks and risk assessment
-   Expertise in handling BoL and LOI documents with an eye for detail
-   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies promptly
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
