# Accounting Manager

## Description

A well-established accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function and support a diverse portfolio of clients.

**Responsibilities**

-   Maintain and oversee accounting records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
-   Supervise the proper execution of accounting entries, general ledger activities, fixed assets register, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
-   Ensure full compliance with Greek accounting and tax legislation
-   Prepare, monitor, and analyze financial and tax data
-   Manage and oversee tax obligations and filings, including VAT returns, myDATA submissions, withholding taxes, intercompany reporting, E9 declarations, and other statutory requirements
-   Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations
-   Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of 3 accounting professionals
-   Support and advise clients on accounting and tax-related matters
-   Monitor and optimize accounting procedures and internal controls
-   Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
-   8–15 years of experience in an organized accounting environment, including experience in a managerial role
-   Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax legislation
-   Proven experience in managing and developing accounting teams
-   Solid experience with ERP and accounting systems, such as SoftOne, Entersoft, and SAP
-   Strong knowledge of Category C bookkeeping and financial reporting
-   Professional certification or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset
-   Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
-   Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
-   Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
-   Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
