AI Accountant, we are India’s first and only AI native accounting automation platform.  India has 4L of accountants, most are doing accounting manually. We are automating the data entry, transaction categorization and reconciliation end to end.  We’re a YC-backed startup and have raised series A funding with total of more than $35mn. 

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a driven **Business Development Intern** to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates interested in sales, business development, lead generation, and global finance. You’ll work with AI Accountant sales and growth teams to build pipelines, conduct research, generate leads, and support our product offerings.

This internship is ideal for freshers looking to start their career in B2B sales, business development, or fintech.

## Requirements

**Must-have Skills:**

-   Excellent communication skills and confidence in speaking with prospects.
-   Curiosity about **fintech**, **sales**, SaaS and **global finance**.
-   High energy, persistence, and solid **rejection-handling** ability.
-   Comfortable working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
-   Strong ownership mindset and ability to learn quickly.

**Good-to-have Skills:**

-   Clear and structured thought process.
-   Basic Excel skills (filters, lookups, data organization).
-   Familiarity with CRM tools such as **HubSpot**, Zoho, or similar platforms.
-   Prior internship or exposure to **business development**, **BDR roles**, or **sales**.

Where you will create Impact:

-   Identify and research potential customers for Karbon’s AI Accountant
-   Conduct product demos for prospective and current customers.
-   Manage and update CRM entries, track conversations, and support timely follow-ups.
-   Prepare basic **pitch decks**, sales notes, competitor analysis, and market insights.
-   Collaborate with sales and onboarding teams to ensure smooth lead-to-customer transitions.
