## Description

**Overview**

A rapidly scaling European smart grid software company is recruiting a Chief Technology Officer to lead its technology strategy, engineering organisation, and product development. Based in Zurich, the company serves DSOs, utilities, and aggregators across multiple European countries with grid optimisation, flexibility, and forecasting solutions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Define and execute the company's technology vision and product roadmap.
-   Lead engineering, data, and product teams totalling approximately 40 staff.
-   Oversee development of grid management, demand response, and forecasting platforms.
-   Ensure technical excellence across architecture, security, and scalability for mission-critical energy applications.
-   Drive AI/ML integration for load forecasting, market optimisation, and asset performance.

## Requirements

**Essential Qualifications**

-   15+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 as a CTO or VP Engineering.
-   Experience scaling SaaS or platform technology in regulated industries.
-   Knowledge of European energy markets, grid codes, and cybersecurity frameworks (NIS2, IEC 62443).
-   Strong cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
-   Fluent in English; German is a strong asset.

**Desired Qualifications**

-   Background in energy software, grid management, or trading platforms.
-   Experience leading teams through Series B/C scaling phases.

## Benefits
