## Description

Our client is a well-regarded, mission-focused nonprofit organization serving individuals and families throughout the greater Los Angeles area. As a small and closely connected team, each position plays an important role in helping the organization deliver meaningful support to the community.

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Program Services Manager to oversee community-facing direct services. The position focuses on three core areas: the 800 Helpline, programs for individuals and families, and community education. Many services are provided in both Spanish and English, so bilingual fluency is essential. This role reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the board’s Program Committee to develop and implement the annual plan for programs and services.

The successful candidate will oversee, coordinate, operate, and strengthen these programs, manage staff and volunteers, monitor outcomes, and identify new ways to expand access, including through online resources.

**Run the 800 Helpline (information and referral)**

- Partner with the Spanish Program Specialist to ensure materials remain accurate, relevant, and appropriate for a diverse community.
- Lead the team responsible for incoming calls, intake completion, needs assessments, and sharing information by phone, email, and mail.
- Coordinate with the national office, which manages the shared database and referral protocols, to maintain data quality, improve processes, and exchange ideas.
- Refer callers to programs and community resources, while providing case management and follow-up whenever possible.
- Manage the Helpline and establish clear protocols so callers across the region receive timely, helpful support.
- Oversee the Emergency Assistance Program and the Safety Resource Program, including pillboxes and ID bracelets.

**Lead community education**

- Expand the program’s impact by recruiting, training, and managing parents, advocates, and professionals to deliver education directly.
- Coordinate the Brain Exhibit to educate students on brain health and seizure first aid.
- Plan and facilitate First Aid trainings in schools and organizations.

**Lead patient and family education**

- Provide one-on-one education and advocacy, coordinate sessions for newly diagnosed individuals, and arrange speakers focused on self-advocacy.
- Build new partnerships and maintain strong relationships with current partners so people have access to updated information and treatments.
- Work with centers and community organizations to deliver educational programs across the region, with particular attention to underserved communities.

**Manage supportive care programs**

- Ensure all programs meet the organization’s standards, including those supported or delivered by other staff members.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs.
- Programs may include Family Weekend Camp, Family Days and social outings, Summer Camp, Adult Social and Retreat events, art therapy sessions, Kids Crew events, and monthly support groups.

**Support the wider team and mission**

- Collaborate with the Development team on grant requests and reports, and help sustain donor relationships.
- Deliver programs in virtual formats and keep resources accessible online.
- Assist the Executive Director in guiding other program staff.
- Support colleagues across awareness, advocacy, and signature events, as these areas often intersect.
- Represent the organization in the community and participate in most organizational activities.
