## Description

Our client is an established organization seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to join its senior leadership team.

This is a highly influential, hands-on executive role with responsibility for the performance of a complex, geographically dispersed operation. The successful candidate will provide leadership across multiple locations, strengthen operational performance and accountability, and continue to develop the leadership capabilities of the organization.

The role requires an executive who can combine strong financial and operational management with effective people leadership. You will work closely with senior executive leadership while maintaining a strong connection to operational teams across the business.

**What You Will Do**

-   Lead operational and financial performance across a complex, geographically dispersed business
-   Establish operating goals, performance expectations, and priorities aligned with broader business objectives
-   Monitor financial and operational performance against budgets, targets, and key performance measures
-   Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, consistency, and execution
-   Lead, coach, and develop operational leadership teams
-   Strengthen accountability and management effectiveness throughout the organization
-   Identify leadership and capability gaps and support the continued development of management talent
-   Guide key organizational and personnel decisions within the operations function
-   Maintain a strong connection to the business through regular engagement with operational teams and locations
-   Evaluate resource requirements and support significant operational investment decisions
-   Partner effectively with other functions across the organization
-   Lead and support broader operational improvement initiatives
-   Contribute to business planning and strategic decision making as a member of the senior leadership team

**Location:** Greater Missouri  
**Travel:** Significant travel required  

The successful candidate will have operated at a senior level within a complex B2B organization and will be comfortable balancing strategic leadership with direct involvement in operational performance.

## Requirements

**Required**

-   Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline
-   Significant senior-level operations leadership experience within a B2B environment
-   Experience leading complex, multi-location or geographically dispersed operations
-   Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing performance against budgets and operational targets
-   Demonstrated ability to use data, financial information, and performance measures to drive decision making and accountability
-   Experience leading, coaching, and developing multiple levels of operational management
-   A track record of improving operational performance and establishing greater consistency across an organization
-   Strong organizational judgment and the ability to make effective people and business decisions
-   A hands-on leadership approach with the willingness to remain closely connected to operations
-   Ability and willingness to travel regularly

**Preferred**

-   MBA or equivalent advanced business education
-   Experience within B2B services, distribution, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or another operationally intensive environment
-   Experience operating in businesses where consistent execution across multiple locations is critical to overall performance
-   Familiarity with business systems, operational reporting tools, and performance management processes
-   Experience contributing to operational improvement, organizational development, or business transformation initiatives
