## Description

**About the role**

Our client is a well-funded early-stage aviation venture developing a boutique semi-private regional carrier focused on connecting the Southeast and Caribbean's most exclusive leisure markets. Backed by a consortium of hospitality investors, the company is building a service-led travel experience that blends the intimacy of private aviation with the accessibility of scheduled service. The role provides an opportunity to build the people function from the ground up, establishing the systems, culture, and talent infrastructure that will support the company through certification, launch, and rapid scaling.

This role demands a builder mindset, a strong grasp of aviation labor frameworks, and the ability to operate with minimal infrastructure in a fast-evolving startup setting.

### Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement foundational HR systems, including HRIS selection, payroll integration, benefits administration, and employee records management
- Establish onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle processes tailored to flight crew, ground operations, and corporate staff
- Develop compensation philosophy, banding structures, and incentive frameworks across pilot, cabin crew, maintenance, and corporate functions
- Partner with executive leadership to forecast hiring needs and build sourcing pipelines for pilots, flight attendants, dispatchers, mechanics, and corporate hires
- Ensure compliance with FAA crew duty regulations, FAR Part 117, and 14 CFR Part 120 drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Navigate labor relations matters, including potential collective bargaining considerations for flight crews
- Build a service-oriented culture aligned with the company's hospitality positioning, including engagement initiatives, performance management cycles, and recognition programs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters

## Requirements

- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in commercial aviation, hospitality, or similarly regulated, service-driven industries
- Deep familiarity with FAA crew regulations, Part 120 testing programs, and aviation labor considerations
- Demonstrated experience building HR functions in startup or early-stage environments
- Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment law
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; SHRM-SCP or SPHR strongly preferred

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Prior experience supporting a Part 121 or Part 135 certification process
- Background launching airlines, charter operators, or premium hospitality brands
- Experience with pilot recruitment and retention strategies

## Benefits

**Remuneration & Benefits Package**

Base Salary: $145,000 to $185,000 annually + Performance-Based Compensation
