> Keller Executive Search · Charleston, United States · Full-time · Posted 2026-06-08

**Salary:** USD 75,000–95,000

**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** R-MM

## Description

### Overview

A well-established industrial manufacturing and distribution operation is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across its warehousing, repair, and facilities functions. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this person will provide steady operational leadership to a small team of supporting managers and staff, keep the wider operation moving, and act as a holistic “big picture” owner of how the business runs day to day. This is a high-visibility role with a genuine voice in the company and clear room to grow as the business expands.

### Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily operations across multiple warehouse locations, including inbound and outbound product flow, dispatch, work-order prioritization, and repair scheduling.
- Own inventory control and purchasing, ensuring accuracy, availability, and process discipline.
- Oversee the on-site repair operation (hydraulic and electrical control-system repair), managing timelines, quality, and the technical team without necessarily performing the work directly.
- Lead and follow up with supporting managers, repair technicians, and warehouse staff, tracking job progress and performance metrics such as completion time and labor utilization.
- Act as the go-to point for facilities management and vendor coordination, and ensure OSHA and company safety compliance, including regular safety meetings.
- Identify problem areas and partner with the executive team on continuous improvement, planning, and reporting, keeping departments aligned rather than siloed.

## Requirements

### Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 or more years of operations, supervisory, or general management experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, repair, or fabrication environment, including coordinating across multiple operational functions or sites.
- Strong leadership in hands-on work environments, with an open communication style: approachable, accountable, and receptive to feedback.
- Working understanding of industrial repair processes (hydraulic and/or electrical control systems) and shop workflows sufficient to manage the function.
- Experience with scheduling or work-order systems, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel) and an inventory or ERP platform.
- Demonstrated adaptability to shifting daily priorities, with a track record of cross-department collaboration and problem-solving.

### Preferred Qualifications

- Operations experience within the mining or heavy-equipment sector.
- 7 or more years of operations management experience.
- Master’s degree in business management or an equivalent field.
- Hands-on experience with the ACCTIVATE ERP system (or a comparable inventory ERP).
- Background as a mechanic or in equipment repair, combined with management experience.
- A track record of improving shop efficiency and processes.
- Practical ability to assist with hydraulic, electrical, or facilities maintenance tasks directly (a plus, not a requirement).
