We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to join our team based at Laverton. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate safety professional to partner with operational leaders and employees to strengthen safety performance, ensure compliance, and foster a positive safety culture across our manufacturing and distribution operations.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Operations Leadership Team, the Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the site.

You will work closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safety-first culture, ensure legislative compliance, and proactively identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and wellbeing.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Provide day-to-day WHS support and advice to operational teams
-   Promote and drive a positive safety culture across the site
-   Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
-   Investigate incidents, hazards, and near misses, identifying corrective and preventative actions
-   Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems and procedures
-   Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions
-   Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and procedures
-   Assist in the development and review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and risk assessments
-   Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
-   Support injury management and return-to-work processes where required
-   Partner with site leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives

**About You**

-   Previous experience in a Safety Advisor, WHS Advisor, or Health & Safety Coordinator role
-   Experience within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, construction, or heavy industry environments
-   Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles
-   Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
-   Ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels of the business
-   Strong organisational skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
-   Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems

**Qualifications**

-   Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
-   Diploma in WHS or related qualification highly regarded
-   Return-to-Work Coordinator certification desirable
-   Current driver's licence
