Mesh & Bar is a leading Australian manufacturer of reinforcing steel and mesh products. We are seeking Expressions of Interest from reliable and motivated **Machine Operators, Benders and Overhead Crane Operators** to join our Wollongong manufacturing team.

These positions will commence on a **casual contract with the intention to transition to permanent full-time employment** for suitable candidates.

**About the Opportunity**

You will work within a busy manufacturing environment, operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently while contributing to the production of quality reinforcing steel products.

Depending on your experience, you may work across:

-   Off-coil and other manufacturing machinery.
-   Shearlines and reinforcing steel equipment.
-   Manual bending operations.
-   Overhead crane operations and loading products for transport.
-   General production and manual handling duties.
-   Quality, safety and housekeeping requirements.

**Shift Details**

**Morning Shift:** 6:30am – 2:30pm  
**Afternoon Shift:** 2:30pm – 10:30pm  
Please note: **all employees will initially train on the morning shift (6:30am–2:30pm).** Once initial training is completed, employees working afternoon shift will transition to **2:30pm–10:30pm**.

**About You**

We are looking for candidates who are:

-   Experienced in manufacturing, machine operation or steel/reinforcing steel environments.
-   Safety-focused with strong attention to detail.
-   Comfortable operating machinery and working in a fast-paced environment.
-   Reliable, physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
-   Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
-   Previous overhead crane experience is highly regarded.
-   Forklift licence, MEP or KRB experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
