Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and safety-focused **Flashings Operator** to join our Pakenham manufacturing team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in manufacturing custom flashings and sheet metal products using industry-leading SWI folding and slitting equipment.

This hands-on role is responsible for producing high-quality products to customer specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. **Key Responsibilities**

-   Operate SWI folding and slitting machinery safely and efficiently
-   Manufacture flashings and custom sheet metal products to customer specifications
-   Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and production schedules
-   Set up machinery for various flashing profiles and dimensions
-   Measure, fold, cut, and inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
-   Package and prepare finished products for dispatch
-   Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
-   Minimise waste through accurate material handling and production practices
-   Assist with loading and unloading materials as required
-   Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
-   Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance

**About You**

-   Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, roofing, or production environments
-   Ability to read measurements accurately and work to detailed specifications
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
-   Good mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely
-   Strong work ethic and a positive team-focused attitude
-   Commitment to workplace health and safety
-   Ability to perform manual handling tasks in a physically active role

**Desirable**

-   Forklift Licence (LF)
-   Overhead crane experience
-   Knowledge of steel products, roofing, or building materials
