### **Purchasing Coordinator | Design Sheet Metal (Bayswater, VIC)**

**About the Role**

Design Sheet Metal is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Purchasing Coordinator** to support our daily operations and keep things running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across purchasing, supplier coordination, and customer service — no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials arrive on time, orders are accurate, and customers receive a seamless experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Raise and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers
-   Ensure accuracy across pricing, quantities, and order details
-   Track orders and manage supplier lead times
-   Communicate updates with customers and internal teams
-   Resolve delivery issues, shortages, or discrepancies quickly
-   Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
-   Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate where required
-   Support the sales team with quotes, orders, and follow-ups
-   Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in person
-   Assist across the business as needed in a fast-paced environment

**About You**

-   Highly organised with strong attention to detail
-   Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
-   Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
-   Proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused
-   Comfortable working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
-   Previous purchasing, admin, or customer service experience preferred
