# Senior Electronics Repair Technician

## Description

-   Repair military or commercial avionics, radar systems, aircraft electronic equipment, or comparable complex electronic systems
-   Troubleshoot electronic equipment at the component, circuit card, subassembly, and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) levels
-   Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and equipment specifications
-   Diagnose and repair RF and microwave electronic systems, including radar transmitters, receivers, and associated components
-   Perform fault isolation, root cause analysis, and component-level repairs, including soldering, desoldering, circuit card rework, and replacement of electronic components
-   Conduct functional testing, acceptance testing, environmental testing, and post-repair verification of electronic equipment.
-   Interpret and execute technical procedures, including Technical Orders (TOs), Technical Manuals (TMs), maintenance manuals, and established test procedures
-   Develop and refine troubleshooting procedures, repair instructions, and test methods while identifying recurring equipment failures and recommending corrective actions
-   Accurately document troubleshooting activities, test results, identified failures, corrective actions, and final equipment disposition, maintaining repair records and equipment traceability in accordance with applicable quality and configuration control requirements
-   Work independently on complex troubleshooting assignments, provide technical guidance to junior technicians, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and program management personnel to resolve technical issues and meet repair schedules
-   Other duties as assigned

## Requirements

### **Education/Training:** 

-   Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Avionics, or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
-   Equivalent military training and/or experience may be substituted for education

### **Experience:**

-   8+ years highly preferred

-   Advanced knowledge of analog and digital electronics, including power supplies, signal processing, control circuits, and communication interfaces required
-   Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, network analyzers, and power meters required

### **Security:**

-   Must be a US citizen

-   Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

### **Physical Requirements:**

-   Prolonged periods of standing and walking, able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
-   Must be able to visually inspect machines
-   Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed
-   Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds

**Salary:** 

The projected salary range for this position is $33.50-$41 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
