# Craftsman Machinist Technician

## Description

-   Perform all phases of part machining including:

-   Review part/component/system technical data for completeness and accuracy
-   Process definition & development of documentation
-   Identify tooling, jig and fixture requirements & support/input/review of engineering designs
-   Perform set-up tasks
-   Rough and finish machining

-   Other duties as assigned

## Requirements

-   **Education/Training (both required and desired):**

-   Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred

-   **Experience:**

-   3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required

-   **Security:**

-   Must be a US citizen
-   Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

-   **Physical Requirements**

-   Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
-   Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
-   Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
-   Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
-   Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
-   Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time

**Salary:** 

The projected salary range for this position is $25-$30/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
