**Pay:** $28 per hour

**Address:** Mobile Position based out of our main facility (12171 Omniplex Ct, Cincinnati, OH 45240) – Servicing all KCG cultivation facilities, dispensaries, and processing plants

### Job Description:

King City Gardens is seeking a skilled and dependable General Contractor Laborer with previous lead experience to support construction, repair, and maintenance projects across our cultivation facilities, dispensaries, and processing plants. This is a mobile position requiring the ability to work independently and alongside the Facilities Manager with minimal oversight while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

When not actively assigned to construction or renovation projects, this position will assist with general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep across all company locations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general contracting, the ability to lead smaller projects from start to finish, and a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.

### Responsibilities:

-   Perform general construction tasks, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and minor electrical and plumbing work.
-   Lead small construction and maintenance projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
-   Troubleshoot building issues and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
-   Conduct routine building maintenance and preventative upkeep across company locations.
-   Travel between cultivation facilities, dispensaries, and processing plants as needed.
-   Coordinate with the Facilities Manager on project progress, timelines, and material requirements.
-   Communicate project updates, supply needs, and potential issues to management.
-   Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
-   Follow all applicable safety procedures, company standards, and local regulations.
-   Assist with general facility upkeep and maintenance when project work is not scheduled.

## Requirements

-   Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
-   Ability to travel between multiple company locations.
-   Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal oversight.
-   Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-   Dependable, organized, and able to communicate effectively with management.
-   Drug- and alcohol-free workplace compliance.

### Required Skills:

-   Knowledge of general construction practices and building systems.
-   Ability to troubleshoot and perform general building repairs.
-   Strong time management and organizational skills.
-   Ability to safely operate and maintain construction tools and equipment.
-   Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

### Required Experience:

-   3–5 years of construction, general contracting, or related maintenance experience preferred.

### Preferred Skills:

-   Carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and minor electrical and plumbing skills.
-   Ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, and manage materials.
-   Ability to work across different facility types and environments.

### Preferred Experience:

-   Previous lead, supervisory, or project management experience strongly preferred.
-   Experience independently managing small construction or maintenance projects.
-   Experience working in commercial, industrial, or multi-site facilities is a plus.

### Physical Requirements:

-   Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
-   Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
-   Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
-   Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and a company-provided vehicle.

### Division of Cannabis Control Requirements

-   Must be 21+, pass a background check, and obtain and maintain a DCC employee badge.
-   Ability to meet background screening requirements consistent with Ohio cannabis industry standards.
