**Environmental Lead - Listowel**

**About the Role**

The Environmental Lead is responsible for the ongoing management & delivery of the Environmental agenda for the Listowel site. The Environmental Lead will be a subject matter expert for the site and ensure compliance to all environmental related legislation, group policies and standards. They will be a key influencer to the Site Leadership Team and challenge, support and guide best practice and forward thinking in all areas of the environment & sustainability. The Environmental Lead will escalate and share issues when they arise and hold all key stakeholders to account to prevent re-occurrence of any issue. They will be the primary site contact for dealing with all matters relating to the Environmental Protection Agency in relation to the sites Industrial Emissions Licence.

This role will build collaborative relationships within the site team, across production, engineering, supply chain and quality departments. The successful candidate will be a core member of the wider site Environment, Energy, Utilities & Services (EUS) team and share best practice and learnings to help improve the function. They will also be the main point of contact for audits and issue resolution. The Environment lead will drive key initiatives on site to support delivery of Site metrics and Group KPIs.

**What will I be doing?**

-   The subject matter expert in Environmental matters and drive compliance to all relevant legislation and group policies.
-   Key member and advisor to the Site Leadership Team.
-   Manage all IE Licence issue resolution measures.
-   Management of Employees within the Environment / Services / EUS Team.
-   Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
-   Maintenance of ISO 14001 accreditation for the site.
-   Management of all environmental monitoring & reporting requirements.
-   Conducting internal audits & inspections.
-   To ensure the environmental management systems are maintained, developed and compliant for all external and internal audits.
-   Development & implementation of site environmental & sustainability objectives, targets & plans.
-   Manage & develop site environmental risk assessment programme
-   Manage Employee environmental projects and initiatives for the site.
-   To be the competent authority key contact on site and host visits and audits.
-   Support the business in delivering both business and site sustainability projects.
-   Drive and collate site KPI’s.
-   Network internally and externally to share learnings and best practice for the function.

**What do I need to be successful?**

-   3+ years’ experience within a similar role.
-   Experience with environmental management systems, particularly ISO 14001
-   Degree level or equivalent qualification in EHS or related discipline.
-   Experience of influencing key stakeholders and driving change on site.
-   Experience in building networks within site and across sites to share best practice.
-   Standard setting and holding people to account to drive standards forward.
-   Excellent communication skills.
-   Excellent planning & organisational skills.
-   Excellent interpersonal & team work ability.
-   Project management experience.
