### About the team

The FP&A team sits within the Finance and Accounting (F&A) department under the leadership of the VP of Finance. It is organized into two teams: FP&A – Go-to-Market and FP&A – Corporate Functions.

This position is an individual contributor role within the FP&A – Go-to-Market team and reports directly to the FP&A GTM Manager. You will drive financial planning, modeling, and analysis to support the company's go-to-market and company-wide strategic initiatives.

### Responsibilities

**STRATEGIC INITIATIVE FINANCIAL MODELING & SIMULATION (Primary Focus)**

-   Independently own and drive financial simulations and modeling for company-wide strategic initiatives, partnering closely with commercial departments
-   Translate business strategies, new programs, and initiatives into financial models, scenario analyses, and impact assessments
-   Evaluate the financial impact of new programs and strategies, and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders
-   Analyze business considerations and plans from a financial perspective to support decision-making  
    

**BUDGETING & FORECASTING**

-   Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting cycles
-   Conduct variance analyses (actual vs. budget/forecast) across total payment volume (TPV), revenue, and gross profit, linking financial results to business drivers
-   Assist in developing comprehensive financial forecasts, reports, and analyses
-   Help recommend actions to support TPV growth and gross profit improvement goals  
    

**BUSINESS PARTNERING & REPORTING**

-   Respond to ad hoc financial analysis requests from other departments in a timely and accurate manner
-   Proactively identify improvement opportunities through financial data analysis, propose actionable recommendations, and drive implementation in partnership with relevant departments  
    

In addition to the core responsibilities above, you will contribute to FP&A projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the company's objectives.

## Requirements

**Core Experience & Expertise**

-   5+ years of FP&A experience, with a demonstrated ability to work independently
-   Exceptional financial modeling skills, with proven experience and the ability to independently drive financial simulations and modeling for strategic initiatives (Critical)
-   Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
-   Business-level proficiency in written and verbal Japanese and English

**Skills & Tools**

-   Strong analytical skills and operational focus
-   Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
-   Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to improve productivity, streamline analysis, and enhance decision-making

**Nice to Have**

-   Experience in the Payment Service Provider (PSP) industry.
-   A master's degree (MBA) or CPA equivalent.
-   Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite) and BI tools (Looker) is a plus.
