**Department:** Business Operations

## Description

ABOUT THE TEAM

KRUSH Tech is an international technology company developing advanced hardware solutions for defense, aerospace, communications, and autonomous systems. We're launching our U.S. operations from the ground up, building a next-generation, vertically integrated aerospace organization focused on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, and sensing technologies for the U.S. market and strategic partners. Our teams work across RF, embedded systems, electronics, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and supply chain to turn some of the industry's most demanding engineering challenges into reliable, production-ready solutions, combining the agility of a startup with the ambition to compete at the leading edge of UAS and autonomous systems.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join KRUSH at our new manufacturing site in Los Angeles, California. As the on-site HR lead for a brand new facility, you will build the people foundation from the ground up, starting with onboarding and extending to the policies, training, and compliance practices a California manufacturing workforce requires. You will partner closely with site leadership, corporate HR, Talent Acquisition, and Legal.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is energized by startup ambiguity. There is no existing playbook, and you will be trusted to create one, work through challenges as they come up, and know when to bring in outside counsel. It is a rare opportunity to help shape the HR function of a U.S. aerospace and defense manufacturing operation from day one.

## Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•       Design, launch, and run the onboarding process for the Los Angeles site, from offer acceptance through the first 90 days

•       Build core HR infrastructure from scratch, including California-compliant policies, handbook supplements, forms, personnel files, and HRIS workflows

•       Serve as the site's resident expert on California and local employment law, including wage and hour, meal and rest breaks, leaves of absence, harassment prevention, fair chance hiring, and pay transparency

•       Identify and track the safety training, certifications, and requirements each manufacturing role needs before starting work, in partnership with EHS and site leadership

•       Coordinate required California new hire documentation, including I-9s, wage notices, tax forms, and state registrations and notices

•       Partner with Talent Acquisition on offers, conditional-offer background checks and drug screening, and new hire start logistics, following California fair chance requirements

•       Work with Legal and Security to support export control requirements for new hires, including U.S. Person confirmation, access controls, and required briefings

•       Act as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors on employee relations, coaching frontline leaders on performance, discipline, and accommodations

•       Conduct and document workplace investigations, engaging outside counsel when appropriate

•       Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate time tracking, correct exempt and non-exempt classification, and compliant overtime, meal, and rest practices

•       Administer the benefits stipend, leave of absence, and time-off programs for site employees

•       Maintain audit-ready HR records and prepare for state and local compliance reporting as the site grows

•       Track and report on key people metrics such as time to productivity, turnover, and training completion, and use them to improve processes

•       Document and standardize what works so the playbook can support future KRUSH sites

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•       6+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, including 3+ years supporting a manufacturing or other hourly, shop-floor workforce

•       Strong, current working knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour, meal and rest breaks, leaves (CFRA, pregnancy disability, paid sick leave), FEHA, and fair chance hiring

•       Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple shifts

•       Working knowledge of the Cal/OSHA training and recordkeeping requirements that affect manufacturing teams (for example injury and illness prevention, hazard communication, workplace violence prevention, forklift and PPE training)

•       Demonstrated success building or significantly improving onboarding and HR processes in a startup or high-growth environment

•       Comfortable with ambiguity: able to prioritize, make sound decisions with limited information, and know when to escalate

•       Hands-on experience with an HRIS and I-9 compliance (Paylocity a plus)

•       Strong employee relations and investigation skills, with sound judgment and discretion

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to coach frontline supervisors and advise senior leaders

•       Ability to work on-site at our Los Angeles manufacturing facility

•       Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities (ITAR)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•       PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification

•       Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

•       Experience in aerospace, defense, or another export-controlled or highly regulated manufacturing environment

•       Experience launching a new site or supporting the U.S. expansion of an international company

•       Familiarity with Los Angeles city or county employment ordinances

•       Experience with workers' compensation and Cal/OSHA recordkeeping

•       Bilingual in English and Spanish
