# Career Explore NW Impact Coordinator > KSPS PBS · Spokane, United States · Full-time · Posted 2026-09-21 **Salary:** USD 45,000–49,000 **Workplace:** on_site ## Description The Career Explore NW Impact Coordinator helps expand the adoption, engagement, and measurable impact of Career Explore NW across the region, with particular responsibility for education outreach in Eastern Washington. The position builds relationships with educators, schools, students, employers, workforce partners, and community organizations; coordinates Career Explore NW Live and other engagement activities; tracks usage and outcomes; gathers stakeholder feedback; and helps turn those insights into stronger outreach, resources, and programming. Working closely with the Career Explore NW Director and colleagues in Marketing, Production, Development, and Education, this role serves as a community-facing ambassador for Career Explore NW and KSPS PBS’s commitment to workforce development. \*\*Please note: this is a non-exempt position based in Spokane, WA and requires in-office work. \*\*To be considered for this role, please submit a cover letter and resume. Salary is $45,000-$49,000/annually commensurate with experience ### Essential Duties & Responsibilities **Relationship Building, Adoption, and Outreach** - Identify and maintain a calendar of relevant regional career fairs, school events, workforce events, and other outreach opportunities; coordinate registration, materials, logistics, attendance, and follow-up. - Represent and promote Career Explore NW at career fairs, schools, libraries, community centers, workforce events, clubs, and other appropriate community settings to create understanding and grow adoption of the tool. - Engage schools and districts throughout ESD 101, ESD 123, and ESD 171, and identify schools, districts, or communities with low or no Career Explore NW engagement for targeted outreach. - Represent KSPS PBS and its commitment to workforce development professionally and effectively with all stakeholders. **Career Explore NW Live and Engagement** - Coordinate the scheduling and execution of Career Explore NW Live sessions, including communication with schools and participating businesses, scheduling, student/educator preparation, internal coordination, follow-up, and post-production/web handoffs. - Support other Career Explore NW engagement activities, school visits, presentations, and community events as assigned. **Impact Measurement and Continuous Improvement** - Collect impact data and stories from educators, students, employers, and other Career Explore NW users and partners for use in program improvement, communications, stewardship, and reporting. - Develop surveys and other feedback tools to evaluate participant experience, usage, and impact. - Gather, organize, and summarize available participation, usage, survey, feedback, and impact information to help the Career Explore NW Director and other stakeholders understand program reach and impact and identify opportunities for improvement. - Support grant reporting, outcome measurement, and other program reporting as needed. **Marketing and Content Coordination** - Coordinate with Marketing & Communications on outreach materials, Career Explore NW Live promotion, and other audience-facing communications while maintaining clear ownership of marketing channels within the Marketing team. - Update and maintain Career Explore NW website content in coordination with appropriate internal teams, helping ensure resources and information remain accurate, timely, and useful. **Project Support** - Maintain organized records of program activities, participation, outcomes, impact stories, and other administration and documentation needed to support timely and accurate grant and funder reporting. - Support cross-department projects and other Career Explore NW priorities as assigned. ### Success Measures Success in this position will be found through collaborative, creative work with the Career Explore NW Director; increased engagement among schools, educators, students, employers, and community partners; successful execution of Career Explore NW Live and other engagement activities; collection and use of meaningful impact data and feedback; identification of opportunities to improve resources and programming; and compelling evidence of Career Explore NW’s impact on students and communities. ## Requirements ### Qualifications / Education / Experience - High School Diploma or associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. - Experience in education, workforce development, community outreach, program coordination, nonprofit service, or a related field preferred. - Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and recurring responsibilities simultaneously. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort speaking and presenting to groups of students and educators. - Proficiency with common office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Asana or other project-management software is preferred. - Ability to travel regularly to schools, community locations, career fairs, and business sites throughout the Inland Northwest, with occasional evening or weekend work. - Ability to work collaboratively across departments and a demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of KSPS PBS. ### Skills & Abilities - Adaptable, collaborative, and creative, with the ability to respond effectively to change, work across teams, and develop practical solutions to emerging needs. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with educators, students, workforce partners, and community organizations. - Sound judgement and the ability to make timely, well-reasoned decisions in a dynamic, community-facing environment. - Comfort with technology used to support student and stakeholder engagement, including Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, web-based systems, and virtual production tools. ### Physical & Environmental Requirements - This position requires the ability to regularly sit, stand, and walk, and to frequently lift, carry, and reach. - Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required for event setup, production equipment, or promotional materials. - The role includes regular travel to schools, community centers, career fairs, and business locations throughout the Inland Northwest. Evening and weekend hours may be required for community events, live sessions, and station activities.
