# CNC Machinist - Weekend

## Description

We’re hiring experienced **CNC Machinists** to support a large, established manufacturing operation in Bulls Gap.

This is a hands-on machining role focused on building, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling and machine components. Machinists work with **CNC mills, Wire EDM equipment, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, dies, fixtures, gauges, punch tooling, sizers, and replacement machine parts**.

You’ll work from blueprints and sketches, determine dimensions and tolerances, set up and run machining equipment, make process adjustments, inspect finished parts, troubleshoot tooling issues, and support production when tooling or mechanical components need to be repaired or replaced.

**Compensation**

## Requirements

Responsibilities

-   Set up and operate CNC mills and Wire EDM equipment
-   Manufacture new tooling and replacement machine components
-   Repair damaged dies, tooling, fixtures, and mechanical equipment
-   Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, dimensions, and tolerances
-   Determine machining dimensions and setup requirements
-   Adjust machining processes to improve efficiency and part quality
-   Perform manual machining on mills, lathes, and surface grinders
-   Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy
-   Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues
-   Support production departments with urgent tooling and repair needs
-   Work closely with machinists, maintenance, operators, and supervisors
-   Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

Required

-   **3–5 years of related machining experience**
-   CNC mill setup and operation experience
-   Strong manual machining experience
-   Ability to operate manual mills and lathes
-   Blueprint reading experience
-   Strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances
-   Mechanical troubleshooting ability
-   Ability to work independently

Preferred

-   Wire EDM experience
-   Wire EDM programming experience
-   CNC programming experience
-   CAD/CAM experience
-   Surface grinding experience
-   Tool & Die experience
-   SolidWorks familiarity
-   Technical school degree or apprenticeship certificate
