## Description

**Overview**

We're hiring skilled CNC Machinists for our precision machining and tooling facility in New Albany, IN.

Alongside the ultra-precise parts we're known for providing the machining industry, this site uniquely machines large-format dies for the extrusion industry, holding tight tolerances on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.

You'll run your own setups, in-process inspections, and program adjustments daily. This is work for machinists with the fundamentals down: setups, feeds and speeds, blueprints, and GD&T.

**Compensation**

-   $27 – $35 / hr

**Shift**

-   **3rd shift:** Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

**Responsibilities**

-   **Setups**: Set up, operate, and maintain multiple CNC mills and lathes.
-   **Blueprints**: Interpret complex prints, GD&T specs, and work instructions.
-   **Inspection**: Verify tight tolerances with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
-   **Program Adjustments**: Dial in grinding cycles to keep processes on spec.
-   **Tooling Maintenance**: Maintain and resurface tooling used in your machines.
-   **Troubleshooting**: Solve complex problems, pulling in technical experts as needed.

## Requirements

**Qualifications**

_Required_

-   2+ years CNC machining experience (milling, turning, and/or grinding)
-   Solid grasp of tooling, feeds, and speeds
-   Experience running machine setups
-   Reads engineering drawings and GD&T
-   Experience verifying tight tolerances with inspection tools
-   Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

_Preferred_

-   Exposure to 4-axis or 5-axis machining
-   Aerospace, medical device, or defense background
-   Other precision manufacturing industry experience
