## Description

We’re hiring an experienced **Quality Engineer** to join a growing, high-end precision manufacturing operation in **San Jose, CA**.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of difficult manufacturing problems. You’ll work directly with **engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customers** to investigate issues, determine root cause, implement corrective actions, and drive problems through resolution.

Rather than sitting behind a desk reviewing paperwork, you’ll be closely connected to the manufacturing floor and the components being produced.

**What You'll Do:**

-   Lead **root-cause investigations** for manufacturing and customer quality issues.
-   Own **CAPAs and corrective actions** from initial investigation through resolution.
-   Investigate internal **nonconformances** and determine appropriate next steps.
-   Partner with engineering and manufacturing on **repair and disposition strategies**.
-   Prepare and manage **deviation requests** and customer quality notifications.
-   Support **PPAP** documentation and approval processes.
-   Support process qualification and validation activities, including **IQ/OQ/PQ**.
-   Communicate directly with customers regarding quality issues, investigations, and corrective actions.
-   Work closely with CNC manufacturing and engineering teams to prevent recurring problems.
-   Help strengthen quality processes as the manufacturing operation continues to grow.

## Requirements

-   Quality Engineering experience within a **manufacturing environment**.
-   Strong experience with **root-cause analysis and corrective action**.
-   Hands-on experience owning **CAPAs**.
-   Experience with **PPAP and formal quality documentation**.
-   Familiarity with **IQ/OQ/PQ or manufacturing process validation**.
-   Experience managing **nonconformances and deviations**.
-   Strong technical communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
-   Experience within a **precision CNC machining environment is highly preferred**.
