The SPP Advertising Strategist works under general supervision and follows company and department policies and procedures to plan, execute, and optimize Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display advertising campaigns within Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central on behalf of US-based e-commerce clients. This role is responsible for keyword strategy, bid management, campaign structure, budget allocation, and performance reporting to drive discoverability and sales growth for client brands.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Through the use of company and department practices and procedures, develops, launches, and manages Amazon Sponsored Ads campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display) for assigned client accounts
-   Conducts thorough keyword research using Amazon tools and third-party platforms to identify high-opportunity search terms and build comprehensive match-type targeting strategies
-   Structures campaigns and ad groups following department best practices for portfolio organization, budget segmentation, and bid strategies aligned with client revenue goals
-   Monitors daily campaign performance including spend pacing, impressions, clicks, CTR, CVR, ACoS, and TACoS; implements proactive optimizations to improve efficiency and performance
-   Performs regular search term analysis to harvest converting keywords, expand targeting, and negate irrelevant spend across client accounts
-   Manages Sponsored Brand video and custom image ad formats in coordination with creative and content teams to ensure assets meet Amazon policies and performance benchmarks
-   Collaborates with DSP strategists, content managers, and account managers to align Sponsored Ads with broader full-funnel advertising and product listing strategies
-   Generates clear, data-driven performance reports and communicates insights and strategic recommendations to internal teams and, where applicable, directly to clients
-   Researches competitor advertising strategies and category trends to identify new growth opportunities and keep client campaigns competitive
-   Maintains accurate and up-to-date campaign documentation, including targeting strategies, budget trackers, and test logs, in accordance with department standards
-   Discusses performance inconsistencies and proposed solutions with managers to ensure alignment with client objectives and budget parameters
-   Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with internal teams across time zones to align objectives and resolve challenges efficiently
-   Acts as a technical resource for colleagues on Sponsored Ads strategy, campaign architecture, and PPC best practices
-   Maintains or exceeds department-established performance standards and client retention benchmarks
-   Continues to learn and apply department Trainual subjects and Amazon advertising certification requirements according to standards
-   Other duties as assigned

## Requirements

-   Two to five (2-5) years of related experience in digital advertising or paid search, with at least one (1) year of hands-on Amazon Sponsored Ads (PPC) management experience preferred
-   Strong working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central advertising consoles, including campaign creation, bid management, keyword strategies, and reporting
-   Demonstrated understanding of Amazon advertising KPIs including ACoS, TACoS, CTR, CVR, ROAS, and impression share, and ability to optimize toward client-defined targets
-   Experience managing advertising budgets and allocating spend across multiple campaigns and client accounts simultaneously
-   Familiarity with third-party PPC management and research tools (e.g., Helium 10, DataDive, Perpetua, Scale Insights, or similar) is strongly preferred
-   Experience working across diverse product categories for US-based e-commerce or Amazon Marketplace clients is strongly preferred
-   Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly present data-driven insights and campaign strategies to internal teams
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data analysis tools; experience building performance dashboards or reporting templates is a plus
-   Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and campaign cycles across different time zones
-   Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with US-based teams; reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup required
-   Amazon Advertising certification (Sponsored Ads or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
