## Description

**Lavipharm** is seeking a **Senior Accountant** based in Athens, reporting to the Chief Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations, supporting financial reporting activities and contributing to the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the Finance Department.

-   Oversees bookkeeping and tax obligations for group companies in accordance with applicable legislation and internal procedures
-   Prepares financial statements and monthly financial reports in compliance with IFRS standards
-   Performs month-end and year-end closing procedures accurately and within deadlines
-   Monitors annual stock procedures and supports cost accounting activities
-   Ensures compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations and internal controls
-   Supports the development and enhancement of accounting processes and financial reporting procedures
-   Liaises with external auditors, tax authorities and other relevant stakeholders during audits and reporting cycles
-   Supervises, trains and supports accounting assistants and junior team members

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
-   A’ Class Accounting License
-   At least 7–10 years of professional experience in a relevant accounting role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
-   Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial reporting standards (IFRS)
-   Proven experience in monthly reporting and preparation of financial statements
-   Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
-   Computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
-   Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-   Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
