**Process Engineering Technician 1 (CNC Programming)**

**Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM**

**Base Rate of $30.00–$35.00/hour (DOE)**

**What You’ll Be Doing as a Process Engineering Technician 1:**

Contributes to basic production problem-solving, process improvement, process control, process implementation and quality assurance in designated manufacturing areas.  As assigned, develops, writes, and/or tests manufacturing processes, tooling requirements, and other manufacturing needs under the direction of Manufacturing Engineers or Supervisory personnel.

**Responsibilities as a Process Engineering Technician 1:**

-   Documents, controls, and maintains basic manufacturing work instructions and other support documentation materials
-   Assists in troubleshooting and analysis of basic parts, process, and tooling issues in manufacturing and assembly
-   Assists higher level technicians in evaluation, follow-up, and verification of new and existing tooling and fixturing needs in manufacturing 
-   Analyzes and implements basic and repetitive Document Change Orders (DCOs), internal/external audits, and training programs.  Assists in more basic analysis and implementations
-   Assists in cost/benefit analysis and reporting as assigned on specific well-defined projects
-   Applies “Lean” manufacturing practices in process development
-   Maintains safe work environment and employs ergonomically safe practices into manufacturing processes
-   Performs other duties as assigned

**Skills and Experiences You’ll Need as a Process Engineering Technician 1:**

-   Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of work-related experience in basic machining operations, assembly or quality assurance processes and procedures.  Drafting and CAD practices preferred
-   An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
-   Able to use computer software tools for effective design/process analysis and presentations
-   Requires a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-   Performs tasks with high degree of accuracy
-   Knowledge and use of appropriate safety and personal protective equipment required
-   May be required to operate light tools and basic machinery such as lathes, mills and other machine shop equipment

**Work Environment for a Process Engineering Technician 1:**

Normal office environment with occasional travel and frequent exposure to manufacturing operations.
