**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Marketing

## Description

Do you enjoy bridging the gap between user experience, clean visual design, and structured, scalable code?

As a Frontend Developer at Limepack, your mission is to make the buying journey and customer account area as effortless, clear, and visually appealing as possible.

At Limepack, we help thousands of businesses across Europe order custom-branded packaging through our e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will take ownership of the frontend experience across our webshops and customer accounts in 14 markets. Working closely with our E-commerce Manager and backend team, you will turn real customer friction points into elegant, high-performing digital solutions.

You will not just be receiving finished designs to implement. Instead, you will be a key part of the creative process. When a usability problem or conversion barrier is identified, you will sketch practical, visual solutions first, aligning on the direction before writing clean, reusable code that scales.

### 📋 Your responsibilities and impact

- **Build and scale our frontend**: Create and maintain a structured system of reusable components that keep our webshop fast and consistent across all European markets.
- **Shape the user experience**: Translate user friction, such as drop-offs in the checkout or usability gaps in the customer portal, into smooth, intuitive user flows.
- **Sketch and align early**: Create quick wireframes or interactive mockups in Figma, Excalidraw, or similar tools to show your ideas and agree on the direction with the E-commerce Manager.
- **Optimise using data**: Review heatmaps, user session recordings, and checkout analytics to understand where users get stuck, then run A/B tests to measure the impact of your changes.
- **Collaborate on performance**: Partner with our backend developers to integrate APIs, improve page speeds, and ensure excellent Core Web Vitals.

## Requirements

### 👉 Who you are

We are looking for a developer who is energized by the following ways of working:

- **You build for scale**: You naturally look at the big picture and organise your code systematically. You prefer to architect reusable component systems rather than writing one-off patches.
- **You have an eye for aesthetics**: You care about how things look and feel. You enjoy polishing layouts, typography, and spacing to create a professional visual experience.
- **You communicate through visualizing**: You can easily turn a complex technical or UX flow into a simple sketch. You enjoy talking through your ideas early in the process to build a shared understanding.
- **You are guided by facts**: You prefer making decisions based on real user behaviour and data rather than guesswork.
- **You have a bias for action**: You prefer to build, test, and learn rather than getting stuck in long phases of theoretical planning. You enjoy seeing your code live, helping real users, and iterating based on feedback.
- **You are a collaborative partner**: You build strong, trusting relationships with your colleagues, enjoying the close daily collaboration with backend developers and commercial team members.

### 🎓 Your Experience

- 3 to 6 years of experience as a Frontend Developer, Frontend Engineer, or UX-focused Web Developer.
- Solid experience with e-commerce platforms, ideally involving complex buying journeys, customer accounts, or multi-market setups.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience translating commercial or usability problems into practical frontend solutions, with the ability to sketch simple flows in Figma or similar tools.
- A strong understanding of web performance, responsive design, and browser behavior.
- Curiosity about modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to speed up prototyping and debugging.
