**LMW HR Group**, on behalf of its client **VEROPOULOS D.O.O. SERBIA (VERO)**, is looking for an experienced **Commercial Director** to join its operations in **Belgrade, Serbia**. 

This is a significant senior leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial professional from the **supermarket / food retail sector** who is ready to take the next step in an international environment. 

Reporting directly to the President of the company, the successful candidate will hold significant decision-making authority, including signing authority for commercial agreements, allowing them to operate with a high degree of independence and ownership. They will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s commercial agenda in Serbia, taking responsibility for key supplier relationships, negotiations and commercial agreements, while leading an established buying team. We are particularly interested in engaging senior professionals who would be open to relocating to Belgrade for a long-term career opportunity. 

**Key Responsibilities:** 

-   Lead commercial negotiations and agreements with local suppliers. 

-   Represent the company in commercial agreements, including signing authority. 

-   Manage, guide and develop the company’s buying team. 

-   Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and key business partners. 

-   Lead contract renewals and negotiate commercial terms and conditions. 

-   Assess commercial performance, market opportunities and key business figures to support informed decision-making. 

-   Manage complex negotiations and resolve supplier-related commercial issues effectively. 

-   Maintain a high-level overview of relevant commercial and financial performance in collaboration with the Finance/Accounting team. 

-   Work closely with senior management to support the company’s overall commercial strategy and business objectives.

## Requirements

-   Strong track record within the supermarket / organised food retail sector. 

-   Senior-level experience in commercial management, buying or procurement within a supermarket chain. 

-   Excellent negotiation and supplier-management capabilities. 

-   Strong analytical and numerical skills, combined with sound commercial judgement. 

-   Proven leadership and people-management skills. 

-   Ability to navigate complex negotiations, make decisions and manage conflict effectively. 

-   Very good knowledge of Excel. 

-   Full professional proficiency in Greek and English, both written and spoken, is essential. 

-   Willingness to relocate to Belgrade, Serbia.
