**Position Purpose:** 

The Business Controller serves as a strategic finance business partner to the Commercial, Marketing, Retail, eCommerce, and Operations teams, providing financial insights and decision support to drive sustainable business growth and profitability.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting**

-   Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes in partnership with business stakeholders.
-   Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
-   Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
-   Drive forecast accuracy through regular reviews and close collaboration with commercial and operational teams.
-   Support cash flow planning and financial forecasting activities.

**Financial Analysis & Performance Management**

-   Analyse revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability across products, channels, customers, and business units.
-   Perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance, providing actionable business insights.
-   Prepare monthly management reports, financial dashboards, and performance reviews for leadership teams.
-   Identify key drivers impacting business performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
-   Support profitability enhancement initiatives through data-driven analysis and recommendations.

**Business Partnering & Commercial Support**

-   Act as the primary finance business partner to Commercial, Marketing, Retail, E-commerce, and Operations teams.
-   Provide financial evaluation and decision support for business initiatives, investments, promotions, product launches, and strategic projects.
-   Develop business cases, scenario planning, and financial simulations to support commercial decisions.
-   Partner with stakeholders to evaluate return on investment (ROI) and optimise resource allocation.
-   Support annual pricing reviews and commercial strategy discussions.

**Pricing & Profitability Management**

-   Conduct pricing analysis and margin reviews across product categories and sales channels.
-   Evaluate promotional activities and pricing strategies to ensure alignment with profitability objectives.
-   Monitor competitor pricing and market developments to support commercial decision-making.
-   Provide recommendations to improve revenue growth and margin performance.

**Financial Governance & Compliance**

-   Ensure robust financial controls, policies, and procedures are implemented and maintained.
-   Support internal and external audit activities and act as a key finance contact during audit reviews.
-   Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
-   Support implementation of new financial processes, SOPs, and governance initiatives.
-   Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen controls and operational efficiency.

**Reporting & Stakeholder Management**

-   Prepare and present monthly business performance reviews to senior management.
-   Communicate financial results, business risks, and opportunities clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
-   Build strong relationships across functions to drive financial discipline and business accountability.
-   Support regional and global reporting requirements as required.

**Requirements:**

-   Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Controlling, preferred to have some regional exposure but not required.
-   Experience within the luxury, lifestyle brands, electronics, premium consumer brand, and retail industry is preferred.
-   Commercially minded, pragmatic in approach with high attention to detail.
-   Creative and innovative attitude, always looking for new ways to improve current activities.
-   Highly organised self-starter with the ability to prioritise. A multi-tasker who is able to achieve deadlines and a team player who is able to work with multiple teams.
-   Strong influencing skills with the ability to lead and build relationship with stakeholders. Able to recognise senior stakeholders’ priorities and understand the optimal way of presenting information.
