## Description

-   Support the company’s overall financial strategy, governance framework, and long-term financial stability as a key member of the senior leadership team.
-   Lead and oversee all core finance functions, ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, and operational performance across the business.
-   Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, ensuring clear ownership, high performance standards, and scalable team structures aligned with the company’s growth.
-   Drive company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
-   Oversee financial analysis, profitability assessment, and cost optimisation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
-   Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, and capital allocation to ensure the company maintains a strong and sustainable financial position.
-   Ensure full compliance with financial, regulatory, and safeguarding requirements applicable to a regulated fintech entity, including FCA and EMI frameworks.
-   Lead relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and regulatory stakeholders, coordinating audits and financial reviews.
-   Oversee safeguarding processes, client funds reconciliation, and the preparation of regulatory and financial reporting.
-   Maintain and continuously strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management procedures.
-   Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in line with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
-   Drive process optimisation, automation initiatives, and implementation of scalable financial systems and controls.
-   Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, Operations, and Commercial teams to align financial strategy with broader business objectives.
-   Provide financial leadership and support across strategic initiatives, partnerships, product launches, and commercial negotiations.

## Requirements

-   Proven experience as CFO, or Finance Director in fintech, payments, e-money institution (EMI), or regulated financial services is mandatory 
-   Strong understanding of card acquiring, Mastercard and Visa standards, payment flows, safeguarding, and regulatory capital requirements.
-   Demonstrated experience leading financial planning, scaling operations, and driving profitability in a high-growth environment.
-   Hands-on experience working with regulators and managing financial and regulatory audits.
-   Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to fintech (e.g., FCA, EMI regulations, safeguarding rules, AML reporting interactions).
-   Strong analytical mindset with practical experience working with financial and operational data using SQL, Redash, or similar data analysis and visualisation tools.
-   Strong understanding of liquidity management, capital adequacy, and treasury functions in a regulated environment.
-   Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal teams
-   Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring, and managing finance teams in fast-paced environments.
-   Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities, with a hands-on and proactive approach to leadership.
-   Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
