**Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:**

They are seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance team of 14 professionals across multiple locations. This role requires hands-on leadership in financial operations, tax compliance, audit management, and system optimization. The successful candidate will drive financial excellence while supporting company aggressive growth objectives.

Financial Controllership & Group Reporting (Primary):

-   Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process for all KFPH entities, ensuring delivery within Group reporting deadlines (Day 6 country submission).
-   Prepare and review management accounts, P&amp;L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements; ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in line with PFRS/IFRS and Group accounting policies.
-   Prepare and submit the Finpack (MA Pack) reporting pack, variance commentary, and IFF reports to Regional Finance and Group Finance.
-   Own balance sheet integrity — lead quarterly balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and clearance of aged or unreconciled items including AR/AP aging, intercompany (ICP) balances, and provisions.
-   Drive technical accounting positions and judgements (revenue recognition, leases/ROU, impairment, bad debt provisioning, foreign exchange) in alignment with PFRS/IFRS and Group policy.
-   Provide financial analysis to the Country Head and regional stakeholders for strategic business decision-making.

Statutory Compliance & Audit:

-   Manage statutory financial statement preparation and external audit closure, ensuring on-time filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
-   Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; coordinate audit planning, fieldwork, and resolution of audit issues to achieve an unqualified audit opinion.
-   Ensure compliance with all Philippine statutory, regulatory, and corporate secretarial requirements (BIR, SEC, LGU, BSP).
-   Lead corporate income tax (CIT), VAT, expanded withholding tax (EWT), and transfer pricing compliance in coordination with the Regional Tax team.
-   Ensure timely submission of all returns and reports to government agencies with zero penalties for late filing.
-   Personally handle all tax and regulatory compliance matters.
-   Manage tax filings, submissions, and compliance requirements.
-   Coordinate with external tax advisors when necessary.
-   Lead audit processes from start to finish.
-   Coordinate with finance team members to provide required documentation.
-   Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

Governance, Controls & Risk:

-   Maintain a strong internal control environment; design, implement, and monitor financial controls and segregation of duties across all KFPH functions.
-   Ensure operating and financial controls are in place and working effectively — target zero incidence of fraud.
-   Lead the review, standardization, and improvement of finance SOPs, policies, and processes.
-   Coordinate with internal audit on reviews, findings, and remediation; track and close audit actions.
-   Manage treasury, cash management, and banking relationships to secure and maintain adequate credit facilities and banking services.

FP&A Support & Business Partnering (Secondary):

-   Implement financial disciplines across business units (IFF, Brokerage, Integrated Logistics, Transport) to maximize profits and ensure financial targets (EBIT) are met.
-   Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing accurate baseline financials, actuals, and reporting templates.
-   Provide controllership input into commercial evaluations, business cases, and investment proposals.
-   Provide recommendations to improve profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
-   Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial processes and reporting.
-   Collaborate with various departments to develop comprehensive financial plans

Process Improvement & Transformation:

-   Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of closing and reporting processes.
-   Support and Oversee ERP (SUN6 / Sun SaaS) and KSMART system enhancement, finance digitalization, and reporting tool implementation projects.
-   Champion data-driven decision-making, dashboarding (Power BI), and adoption of advanced AI tools (e.g. Claude) to enhance finance operational excellence.
-   Promote finance operational excellence and identify opportunities for process innovation.
-   Drive system and process improvements within the finance function.

Team Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

-   Lead and manage a team of 14 finance professionals including AR supervisor, AP supervisor, GA supervisor, cashiers, and regional staff.
-   Provide guidance, coaching, and technical accounting support to the finance team and business partners.
-   Review and approve financial reports, accounting work, and team deliverables.
-   Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Technical, Central Documentation) and external parties (Clients, Truckers, Shipping Lines, Agents and company stations, Banks).
-   Support talent development, knowledge sharing, and succession planning within the finance function.
-   Foster a collaborative, transparent work environment.
-   Develop and mentor finance team members.
-   Encourage open communication and continuous improvement.

## Requirements

-   Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing financial reporting and/or audit.
-   Bachelor’s degree in accountancy (BSA) or equivalent.
-   Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - licensed with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippines.
-   MBA or advanced finance/accounting degree.
-   Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tools.
-   Experience in high-growth or transformation environments.
-   Multi-location or regional finance management experience.
-   Budgeting and forecasting expertise in complex business environments.
-   Working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for report preparation and process enhancement.

Working Experience & Knowledge / Technical Skills Preferred:

-   Big Four accounting firm experience (highly advantageous)
-   International freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry background (significant advantage for business understanding and faster adjustment)
-   Strong technical accounting knowledge of PFRS/IFRS; familiarity with Philippine tax regulations (BIR RR, RMC) and local statutory requirements.
-   Hands-on experience managing monthly close, management reporting packs, and statutory audit processes.
-   Proven track record of managing statutory audits and statutory financial statement preparation.
-   Experience working in an MNC or logistics / supply chain / freight forwarding / customs brokerage industry strongly preferred.
-   Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems (SUN6 / Sun SaaS, SAP, or Oracle), and Artificial Intelligence tools.
-   Knowledgeable in AI tools beyond basic familiarity.
-   Good understanding of corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, and financial management / budgeting.
-   Experience with intercompany reconciliations, multi-currency transactions, and Group consolidation reporting is an advantage.
-   Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
