## Description

**The Worship Production Assistant supports Mannahouse worship and Technical Arts through live sound, music production, audio preparation, and team development at the Portland Campus. This role serves Portland Bible College chapels, Mannahouse services, rehearsals, recording projects, and other ministry events by helping create reliable, organized, and effective audio environments.**

**Working closely with the Technical Arts Manager, this role assists with equipment preparation, soundchecks, recording and editing, volunteer development, and the care of audio rooms and production systems. The Worship Production Assistant combines musical understanding with practical production skills to support worship leaders, musicians, students, and ministry teams with excellence and a servant-hearted approach.**

## Requirements

-   **Education, training, or practical experience in church music, worship ministry, music production, live sound, or a related field**
-   **Foundational understanding of music, rhythm, arrangement, dynamics, and the role of music within a worship environment**
-   **Experience supporting worship services, rehearsals, chapel environments, recording sessions, or live musical events preferred**
-   **Working knowledge of live sound, microphones, mixing consoles, recording equipment, and music-production software**
-   **Experience recording, editing, mixing, or preparing music and ministry content preferred**
-   **Ability to listen critically and make sound musical and technical decisions that support worship leaders, vocalists, musicians, and the congregation**
-   **Strong organizational, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills**
-   **Ability to train, encourage, and support volunteers and students**
-   **Ability to work collaboratively with worship leaders, musicians, pastors, staff, students, and production teams**
-   **Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in live ministry environments**
-   **Must be available on Fridays to support Portland Bible College chapels**
-   **Must be available for occasional evenings, services, rehearsals, recording sessions, and special events as needed**
-   **Participation in church life and modeling of the We Are Mannahouse culture**
-   **Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing**

**Responsibilities**

-   **Supports the musical and technical preparation of Portland Bible College chapels, Mannahouse services, rehearsals, recording sessions, and ministry events**
-   **Assists with live sound mixing, soundchecks, and appropriate audio adjustments for vocals, instruments, spoken content, and congregational worship**
-   **Prepares microphones, instruments, playback systems, recording equipment, and audio rooms for services and projects**
-   **Applies musical judgment related to rhythm, dynamics, arrangement, and balance when supporting live and recorded worship**
-   **Records and edits worship music, student projects, rehearsals, teaching content, and other ministry projects as assigned**
-   **Assists with the technical execution of worship music and ministry content**
-   **Supports organized file, equipment, and production workflows for recording projects**
-   **Helps train, encourage, and develop volunteers and students serving in audio and production roles**
-   **Provides practical guidance in microphone use, stage preparation, soundcheck procedures, equipment operation, and team communication**
-   **Helps create healthy environments where worship leaders, musicians, students, and volunteers can grow in their gifts**
-   **Coordinates audio teams and equipment operations when assigned by the Technical Arts Manager**
-   **Shares responsibility for the care, organization, and operational readiness of audio equipment throughout the Portland Campus, including Portland Bible College spaces**
-   **Maintains clean, organized, functional, and ministry-ready audio rooms and production spaces**
-   **Assists with equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, inventory, and system documentation**
-   **Communicates equipment concerns, project needs, and team-development opportunities to the Technical Arts Manager**
-   **Works collaboratively with the Technical Arts, Worship, and Portland Bible College teams to support shared ministry goals**
-   **Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and operates within the role’s defined scope while remaining aligned with Mannahouse’s mission, vision, leadership, and ministry direction**
