# Demo Analyst

> Marathon Talent · New York, United States (Hybrid) · — · Posted 2026-11-04

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** Nummo

## Description

_Internal test role. This position is used to verify Marathon Talent's recruiting workflow and is not open for applications._

**About Nummo**

Nummo builds an AI operations assistant for professional services firms. Our product reads the systems a team already uses, such as email, calendars, applicant tracking systems, CRMs and shared drives, and turns that information into clear next steps. Instead of asking people to learn another tool, Nummo works where they already are, including the desktop app, Slack and WhatsApp. Our customers include executive search firms, recruiting agencies and investment teams across the United States and Latin America. We are a small team that cares about reliability, plain language and software that earns trust by doing exactly what it says.

**About the role**

The Demo Analyst helps the team understand how customers actually use Nummo and where the product falls short. You will review real workflows with customers, document what happened step by step, and turn those findings into precise, testable scenarios for the engineering team. This role sits between customer success, product and engineering. It suits someone who enjoys detail, asks good questions and likes seeing a problem through from first report to verified fix.

**What you will do**

- Meet weekly with customer teams to review how they used Nummo, what worked and what did not.
- Reconstruct customer issues from conversation history, task records and integration logs, and write them up as clear scenarios with the starting situation, the request, the expected result and what must not happen.
- Work with engineers to turn those scenarios into automated evaluations and confirm that fixes behave correctly before they ship.
- Prepare and run live product demonstrations for customers, including WhatsApp and desktop workflows.
- Maintain short, accurate documentation of each customer's workflow, including the tools they connect and the decisions they expect Nummo to ask them about.
- Track recurring problems across customers and recommend general improvements rather than one-off fixes.
- Help onboard new customers by setting up their workspace, connecting integrations and walking their team through the first week.

**What we are looking for**

- Two to four years of experience in operations, customer success, business analysis, recruiting operations or a similar role.
- Strong written communication in English. Professional Spanish is a strong plus, since many of our customers work primarily in Spanish.
- Comfort working with business software such as applicant tracking systems, Notion, Google Workspace and CRMs. Experience with Workable is a plus.
- A methodical approach to problems. You check the facts before drawing a conclusion and you can explain what you found in a few clear sentences.
- Interest in AI products and how people decide whether to trust them.
- Ability to manage several customer threads at once without losing track of commitments.

**Nice to have**

- Experience in executive search, staffing or recruiting operations.
- Basic familiarity with SQL or reading structured data such as JSON.
- Experience writing test cases, acceptance criteria or process documentation.

**How we work**

Nummo is remote first, with team members across the Americas. We favor short written updates over long meetings, and we make decisions from evidence. You will have direct access to the founders and engineers, and your work will shape what the product does next. We value people who say clearly when something is not working and who follow up until it is resolved.

**What we offer**

- Competitive salary in USD, based on experience and location.
- Flexible working hours with a few hours of overlap with Eastern Time each day.
- A learning budget for courses, books and conferences.
- The chance to join an early team and grow with the company.

**Interview process**

1. A 30 minute screening call with Marathon Talent to discuss your background and interest in the role.
2. A 45 minute interview with the Nummo team focused on how you investigate and explain a customer problem.
3. A short written exercise: given a customer conversation and the records behind it, describe what went wrong and how you would verify a fix.
4. A final conversation with the founders.

We aim to complete the process within two weeks and will share feedback at every stage.
