In Zambia alone, we reach over 700,000 children every school day in 1,574 schools across 17 districts (15 in Eastern Province and 2 in Northen Province).

We are now recruiting for a **Security Officer** to join our team in Zambia. Reporting to the Security Manager, this role plays a key part in safeguarding our staff, assets, and programmes by supporting the implementation of Mary’s Meals’ Security Management System (MMSMS).

You will ensure that security protocols and procedures are followed across all sites, oversee local guarding services, conduct inspections, and provide staff training on security awareness. You’ll also support incident response, build relationships with local stakeholders, and contribute to creating a safe environment for our people and the communities we serve.

**Key responsibilities:**

-   Ensuring compliance with security policies and standard operating procedures.
-   Monitoring the security of assets, vehicles, and facilities.
-   Supporting field operations through checks, audits, and equipment oversight.
-   Conducting security briefings, training, and awareness sessions for staff and visitors.
-   Building strong relationships with local authorities, security networks, and communities.
-   Assisting in the management of security incidents and reporting.
-   Contributing to regular site inspections and security assessments.

## Requirements

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**

-   Diploma in security management or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
-   Experience in security operations.
-   Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-   Fluent written and spoken English.
-   Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
-   Valid manual driving licence.
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
-   Excellent attention to detail.
