## Description

**Baker**

**Location:** Remote mining camp near Winnemucca, Nevada  
**Work Schedule:** Rotational  
**Camp Size:** Approximately 150 residents

 Matrix Camps, Logistics & Aviation is seeking a skilled Baker to support food service at a remote mining camp. The Baker will prepare baked goods from scratch for a camp serving approximately 150 residents.

 The successful candidate will bring strong baking skills, consistent attention to food quality, and a firm commitment to food safety.

 **Basics**

-   Produce **from-scratch baked goods and desserts** for approximately **150 residents**
-   Follow baking schedules, portioning standards, and production plans to support meal service
-   Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and finishing items with consistent quality and presentation
-   Maintain strict **food safety and sanitation** procedures for all prep and baking areas
-   Manage baking inventory support: receiving, labeling, storage, and **FIFO rotation** under the Matrix food safety plan
-   Support kitchen team needs while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
-   Coordinate with the kitchen lead on daily priorities and bake quantities

**Mine Site Safety & Compliance (MSHA / Nevada)**

-   MSHA certification is required
-   Must comply with all applicable mine safety and health requirements, including MSHA regulations (30 CFR) and site-specific safety orientation/training
-   PPE and site rules are required (specific PPE listed by the site upon onboarding)
-   Reference and criminal record checks will be conducted
-   Some sites may require pre-access drug screening and/or fitness-for-duty clearance

**Preference**

Preference will be given to local candidates (and candidates with proximity) in the Winnemucca, NV region.

**Employment Eligibility**

-   Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
-   Matrix will comply with all applicable U.S. employment verification requirements (I-9).

**Job Details**

-   Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal (Rotational)
-   Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

## Requirements

-   Demonstrated **from-scratch baking experience** (required)
-   Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred
-   Strong attention to detail: consistency, timing, portion control, and product quality
-   **Food Safety / Food Handler certificate** (required)
-   **First Aid / Advanced First Aid certification** (required)
-   Strong commitment to **workplace safety**, cleanliness, and teamwork
