Maviance PLC is a digital financial services provider that develops, operates, and grows a technological platform that focuses on increasing and facilitating access to digital financial services (including bill & payment aggregation, retail payments, agent banking, corporate & bulk payments) to people, companies and government entities of all income level across Cameroon.

Maviance PLC is engaging in its expansion phase in Cameroon and within the CEMAC (Central African) region with the goal of establishing the company as the #1 leading player in the Fintech and Digital Financial space.

To accompany us in this light, we are in need of a Brand Designer who will be responsible for shaping, maintaining, and continuously strengthening the company's visual identity across all customer and employee touchpoints. This includes marketing campaigns, web and mobile applications, API developer experiences, customer communications, sales enablement materials, internal communications, and corporate branding.

The role will own the company's Brand Hub, visual design standards, reusable design assets, templates, and visual design system, while collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Customer Experience, Sales, Operations, and other business teams to ensure every customer interaction consistently reflects the company's brand promise.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1\. Brand Governance & Consistency**

Safeguarding the company's visual identity across all customer and employee touchpoints, including digital products, marketing campaigns, customer communications, sales materials, corporate presentations, events, internal communications, and the API developer ecosystem. The role regularly reviews customer journeys, campaigns, product interfaces, and communication materials to identify inconsistencies and ensure alignment with approved brand standards.

The role maintains and continuously evolves the company's brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application of typography, color systems, logos, imagery, iconography, illustrations, layouts, and other visual elements. Every brand expression should reinforce the company's positioning by communicating trust, simplicity, innovation, professionalism, reliability, and security. The Brand Designer also reviews significant design initiatives before publication or deployment to ensure they comply with established brand standards.

**2\. Digital Brand Experience & Design Systems**

Working closely with Product Design and Engineering teams, the Brand Designer contributes to maintaining a consistent visual design language across all digital experiences. This includes supporting the evolution of the company's visual design system by defining and maintaining design principles, visual components, icons, illustrations, typography, spacing, colour usage, and other visual patterns that promote consistency across web applications, mobile applications, customer portals, merchant platforms, agent solutions, dashboards, API developer portals, and customer communications.

The Brand Designer provides visual direction that complements UX initiatives, ensuring digital experiences are not only usable but also clearly reflect the company's brand identity.

**3\. Accessibility & Inclusive Design**

The Brand Designer ensures that visual assets and digital experiences follow recognized accessibility principles and support inclusive design. This includes promoting appropriate color contrast, clear typography, effective visual hierarchy, accessible iconography, readable layouts, and inclusive imagery so that customer-facing communications remain usable and understandable by a broad range of users. The role collaborates with Product and Engineering teams to embed accessibility considerations into digital products wherever appropriate.

**4\. Brand Asset Management**

The Brand Designer develops, organizes, and maintains the company's Brand Hub as the central repository for approved brand assets, templates, guidelines, and design resources. The role creates and continuously improves high-quality reusable assets including presentation templates, campaign materials, product visuals, social media graphics, sales collateral, email templates, illustrations, icons, infographics, event materials, motion graphics, internal communication templates, and developer-facing visual resources.

To improve efficiency across the organization, the Brand Designer develops reusable design kits for different business functions and ensures that assets are supported by clear documentation and usage guidance. The role is also responsible for maintaining organized file structures, version control, naming conventions, and effective lifecycle management of brand resources.

**5\. Stakeholder Collaboration**

The Brand Designer works closely with Marketing, Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Customer Experience, Sales, Operations, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver practical, scalable design solutions. Through close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, the role helps ensure that digital products consistently reflect the company's visual identity across web, mobile, and API experiences.

The role also partners with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure that customer-facing communications remain accurate, appropriate, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Where required, the Brand Designer supports internal adoption by communicating new brand resources, providing guidance on brand standards, and promoting the effective use of approved templates and assets throughout the organization.

**6\. Motion Design & Visual Storytelling**

The Brand Designer creates engaging visual content that strengthens customer communication and supports the company's marketing, product, and brand initiatives. This includes developing motion graphics, product launch materials, digital campaign assets, onboarding visuals, promotional content, social media creatives, internal communication materials, and event branding while ensuring that all creative outputs remain aligned with the overall visual identity.

**7\. Planning & Continuous Improvement**

The Brand Designer establishes and manages an effective process for receiving, assessing, prioritizing, and tracking design requests from across the business. Requests are evaluated based on business impact, customer visibility, compliance sensitivity, strategic importance, urgency, implementation effort, and expected value to ensure design resources are focused on the highest-priority initiatives.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.

**Experience**

-   3–5+ years of experience in Brand Design, Digital Design, or Visual Design.
-   Experience designing for Web and Mobile applications.
-   Experience working with Design Systems.
-   Experience in fintech, financial services, SaaS, or technology companies is an advantage.
-   Strong portfolio demonstrating digital branding, product visuals, and marketing design.

**Technical Skills**

-   Advanced proficiency in Figma.
-   Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).
-   Experience creating reusable design systems and component libraries.
-   Strong understanding of typography, layout, iconography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
-   Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
-   Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools.
-   Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and digital product constraints is an advantage.
