MicroStrategy Developer

**Merrifield, VA | USPS Engineering Systems | Hybrid after initial onsite period**

MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is hiring an experienced **MicroStrategy Developer** to support the **United States Postal Service (USPS)** in Merrifield, VA.

We’re looking for a hands-on BI developer who can help modernize a large enterprise reporting environment by **migrating SAP Crystal Reports 4.3 into MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, documents, and interactive dossiers**.

If you have strong **MicroStrategy development, Crystal Reports migration, Oracle, and PL/SQL** experience, this is the kind of project where your expertise will have an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

-   Migrate **SAP Crystal Reports 4.3** into **MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, documents, and dossiers**.
-   Analyze existing Crystal Reports, including business logic, calculations, parameters, queries, and data structures.
-   Recreate legacy reporting functionality in MicroStrategy while maintaining **data accuracy and functional parity**.
-   Build interactive reports and dashboards using **MicroStrategy Developer and MicroStrategy Web**.
-   Develop and troubleshoot **Oracle PL/SQL** supporting reporting requirements.
-   Validate MicroStrategy output against existing Crystal Reports.
-   Troubleshoot data discrepancies and optimize **report and query performance**.
-   Manage and migrate MicroStrategy objects using **Object Manager**.
-   Work with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders in an **Agile environment**.
-   Document report specifications, migration processes, and technical configurations.

Must-Have Qualifications

-   **5+ years of hands-on MicroStrategy development experience**.
-   Strong experience building **MicroStrategy reports, documents, dashboards, and dossiers**.
-   Experience migrating **Crystal Reports to MicroStrategy or another enterprise BI platform**.
-   Strong **Oracle database and PL/SQL** experience.
-   Experience with **MicroStrategy Developer, MicroStrategy Web, and Object Manager**.
-   Strong troubleshooting, data-validation, and performance-tuning skills.
-   Experience working in an **Agile/Scrum development environment**.
-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

Big Plus

-   **MicroStrategy certification / MicroStrategy Certified Professional**.
-   Experience supporting **USPS, federal government, or government contracting environments**.
-   Experience with enterprise-scale **BI modernization and legacy report migration**.

Work Location

This position is initially **onsite at USPS Engineering Systems Headquarters in Merrifield, VA**. Shuttle service is available to the **Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro Station**.

After several months onsite, **one telework day per week is approved**.

Candidates must successfully complete a **pre-employment background check and drug screening** and be eligible to obtain and maintain a **Public Trust clearance**.
