## Description

If you're an adult-focused Speech Pathologist, you already know the market skews heavily paediatric — and that finding a role built around the work you actually trained for can take longer than it should. This is one of those roles.

**The work:** A caseload built around adult clinical practice — the specifics of setting and location depend on which of our current openings fits you best. Right now Mediix is briefed on adult-focused SP roles across:

-   Acute hospital (dysphagia, stroke, TBI, head and neck cancer, tracheostomy)
-   Sub-acute rehabilitation and stroke units
-   Community rehabilitation and outpatient
-   Aged care (RACF and in-home)
-   Progressive neurological conditions (MND, Parkinson's, dementia care)
-   Adult NDIS and disability
-   Voice, fluency and transgender voice

You tell us which of these you want more of and which you're happy to leave behind — we work from there.

**Why clinicians talk to us about adult work:**

-   Real caseload variety without being stretched across paeds you didn't sign up for
-   Clinical leads who understand adult acute and rehab (not managers who default to paediatric assumptions)
-   Access to instrumental assessment (VFSS, FEES) in the settings that offer it — and we'll tell you honestly which ones don't
-   Time built in for MDT participation, family education, and the discharge planning work that adult roles actually require

**What's on offer:** Depends on the role. Broadly:

-   Permanent salaries **$80,000–$120,000 + super** (graduate through senior/advanced)
-   Part-time, full-time, casual and contract shapes all in play
-   Public health, private practice, aged care and NDIS providers on our desk

**About you:**

-   AHPRA registration as a Speech Pathologist
-   Australian work rights
-   Adult clinical experience OR a genuine intention to work adult-only from here
-   Any experience level — graduates who've specifically trained toward adult work, mid-career clinicians looking for the right next step, and senior clinicians ready for a lead role are all on our desk
