### **Hunter Valley, NSW | Flexible VMO Opportunity**

We are currently partnering with a **modern regional hospital in the Hunter Valley** to recruit **General Practitioners with Emergency Medicine experience** to join a high-performing Emergency Department as Visiting Medical Officers.

This is a great opportunity to build a long-term Emergency Medicine career within a **large, contemporary district hospital (Tier 2 facility)** with approximately **300+ beds**, servicing a rapidly growing regional population.

The **Emergency Department** is a busy, well-supported unit that:

-   Sees approximately **150 patients per day**, with around **one-third paediatric presentations**
-   Maintains an **admission rate of 20–22% across multiple specialties**
-   Acts as a **referral hub for several surrounding rural hospitals**
-   Focuses strongly on **patient flow, clinical decision-making and safe care pathways**
-   Operates with a **collaborative senior medical team and structured supervision model**

**Requirements**

-   MBBS or equivalent with current **AHPRA registration**
-   Fellowship of **RACGP (FRACGP)** or equivalent
-   Experience or strong interest in Emergency Medicine
-   Completion of, or willingness to undertake, Emergency Life Support training
-   Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork and ongoing professional development
