An exciting opportunity exists for **Emergency Medicine Specialist** to join a busy regional hospital in Mount Isa. As part of the emergency department team, you will provide essential care to patients in an environment that offers a wide variety of cases, with telehealth support for remote locations.

In this role, you will be a Senior Medical Officer or Staff Specialist, managing emergency care, including initial assessments, urgent treatment, and critical care in a fast-paced and challenging setting. **Key Responsibilities:**

-   Provide expert emergency care to patients across a broad range of conditions
-   Offer telehealth support and advice to remote locations

-   Participate in the 1:3 Standby On-Call roster (paid per occurrence)

**About You:**

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Medicine Specialist who possesses:

-   A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences
-   Unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
-   Strong clinical experience in emergency medicine, with the ability to handle diverse and critical cases
-   The ability to work outside of "ordinary hours," typically 10-hour shifts on an 8 on / 6 off roster (part-time options are available)
-   A C-Class Motor Vehicle Licence
-   A commitment to patient care and teamwork in a regional, rural, and remote setting
-   An interest in public and/or Indigenous health would be an asset (though not mandatory)
