## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and DHA/DOH licensed **Molecular Biology/ Genetics Lab Technologist** to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform advanced molecular biology and genetic laboratory testing, contributing to diagnostic and research projects in a state-of-the-art laboratory.

This position requires expertise in molecular diagnostics, strict adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Perform molecular and genetic laboratory tests, including but not limited to PCR, qPCR, NGS, Sanger, MLPA, Karyotyping and FISH.
-   Process, extract, and purify nucleic acids from a variety of biological samples.
-   Culture and processing prenatal, postnatal and oncology samples.
-   Analyze data and prepare detailed reports with precision and clarity.
-   Ensure compliance with Standard laboratory operating protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
-   Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
-   Participate in internal and external quality control programs.
-   Assist in developing and validating new molecular assays and methodologies.
-   Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace always.
-   Assist the Clinical Laboratory Manager and Supervisors in distributing proficiency samples, performing analysis, and reporting testing results.

## Requirements

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

-   **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
-   **Licensure:** **Valid DHA/DOH professional license as a Molecular Biology Technologist or Genetic Technologist, preferably with ASCP-MB certification.**
-   **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience in a molecular biology/genetics laboratory, preferably in a clinical laboratory setting.
-   **Technical Skills:**
-   Expertise in molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, POCT, Sanger, and NGS.
-   Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and genetic databases.
-   Open to learn new advanced and classical technologies whenever it is mandatory.
-   **Soft Skills:**
-   Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-   Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

-   Certification from recognized organizations (e.g., ASCP or equivalent).
-   Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
-   Experience in quality assurance and laboratory accreditation processes.
