# Technical Manager CIVIL (Non IT-Construction industry) > Meraki Integrated Contracting LLC · Dubai, United Arab Emirates · Full-time · Posted 2026-09-24 **Workplace:** on_site **Department:** Contracting ## Description **Position: Senior Technical Manager** Meraki Integrated Contracting is seeking a skilled **Technical Manager** with a heavy focus on construction and structural engineering projects. The responsibilities centre on managing project documentation, ensuring compliance, coordinating submittals, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain project schedules and quality. **Key Responsibilities** - Responsible for reviewing and **providing technical comments on PQD / Pre-Qualification Documents, Material Submittals, Technical Compliance Statements, Shop Drawings, Design Calculations, Method Statements and other Engineering Submittals**. - **Reviewing and commenting on Architectural, Structural and MEP coordination drawings**, including Rebar Shop Drawings and BBS. - **Managing and monitoring Engineering Submission Logs, Material Submittal Logs, Shop Drawing Logs, RFI Logs and Rebar Call-Off Logs**, ensuring compliance with the approved baseline programme. - **Reviewing initial and detailed design drawings** and providing necessary technical inputs prior to authority submission and construction. - **Coordinating with Consultants, Project Managers, Construction Teams, Planning, QS/Commercial, Procurement, QA/QC, MEP Teams and Subcontractors** for timely resolution of technical issues. - **Responsible for preparing and reviewing** **Technical Packages / Technical Compliance Documents** for submission to the Procurement team for Contractor, Supplier and Subcontractor finalization. - **Evaluating the technical capabilities**, previous experience, compliance and suitability of proposed **suppliers and subcontractors**. - **Providing technical support to the Procurement and Commercial teams** during tender evaluation, techno-commercial review and subcontractor/vendor selection. - **Providing Value Engineering, alternative material proposals and innovative technical solutions** **to achieve** cost savings, improve constructability and reduce project duration without compromising quality. - **Conducting periodical site visits** to monitor technical compliance, review construction issues and provide practical technical solutions to the Project / Construction Team. - **Coordinating with Consultants and Project Teams** for timely closure of RFI, technical queries, design discrepancies, consultant comments and site technical issues. - **Monitoring technical deliverables and ensuring there is no critical technical submission pending** that may affect procurement, construction progress or project completion. - **Reviewing and supporting Method Statements, ITPs, QA/QC requirements and technical quality documentation** in coordination with the QA/QC Department. - **Coordinating with the Technical / Engineering team to ensure timely preparation and submission** of As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, Testing & Commissioning Documents, Warranty/Guarantee Certificates and other handing-over documents. - **Leading and managing the Technical Team,** including Technical Engineers, Technical Coordinators, Draftsmen, BIM/Engineering resources and Document Controllers, as applicable. - **Conducting regular technical coordination meetings with the team** and monitoring KPI, targets, submission status and pending actions. - **Preparing and maintaining Engineering / Procurement interface schedules** and coordinating with Planning and Procurement teams to ensure technical approvals are aligned with the project baseline programme. - **Identifying technical risks, design coordination issues and potential delays at an early stage** and taking necessary corrective actions. - **Ensuring all technical activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract documents,** applicable UAE regulations, international standards and company quality requirements. - **Supporting the Project / Commercial team with technical inputs** related to Variations, Claims, Contract requirements and technical scope clarification. - **Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously** and prioritise critical technical deliverables based on project programme and construction requirements. - **Strong communication, coordination, negotiation and leadership skill**s with the ability to effectively deal with Clients, Consultants, Authorities, Subcontractors, Suppliers and internal departments. - **Candidate should have strong technical knowledge,** problem-solving capability, decision-making skills and hands-on construction experience. - **Reporting to General Manager / Project Director**, as applicable. ## Requirements - Minimum **10 to 15 years of total experience**, with preferably **more than 8+ years of UAE experience**, in Commercial / Residential / Mixed-use Buildings, preferably **Mid-rise / High-rise projects**, with a reputed Contracting / Real Estate Development company. - Bachelor’s degree inCivil Engineering. **Master’s degree in Structural Engineering** will be an added advantage. - Strong experience in handling **multiple projects from design stage through construction and final handing over** in all technical aspects, without delay or pending submissions, and in compliance with project quality standards. - Should have strong knowledge and **experience in UAE authority requirements**, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, DCD, RTA and other relevant authorities. - Currently handling a team of 4-5 people - Currently working as a Technical Manager. -
