## Description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise / Domain Architect to provide dedicated architecture leadership across a number of strategic transformation programmes.

The successful candidate will work as key members of programme teams, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define target architectures, support technology selection, guide implementation approaches, and ensure solutions align with wider enterprise strategy.

This role is initially expected to support programme delivery through key architecture phases, including discovery, design, procurement, selection, and implementation.

This position is hybrid with occasional travel required to programme locations as needed. The role requires a collaborative approach, balancing strategic direction with hands-on architecture delivery.

**Lead architecture for customer data transformation initiatives, including customer data foundations, customer view capabilities, CRM integration, and customer data platforms.**

### Key Responsibilities

-   Own architecture direction across customer data transformation initiatives.
-   Define current-state and target-state customer architecture.
-   Design approaches for customer data consolidation and improved customer insight.
-   Support development of customer data models and ownership principles.
-   Work closely with data governance, data engineering, CRM, marketing, product, and technology teams.
-   Define architectural options, recommendations, and key decisions.
-   Support roadmap development and phased implementation planning.
-   Establish architecture governance across the programme and wider customer domain.

### Key Deliverables

-   Current-state architecture
-   Target-state architecture
-   Customer data architecture blueprint
-   Solution designs for programme phases
-   Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
-   Contribution to customer data model and roadmap

### Essential Experience

-   Experience designing and implementing:

-   Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
-   Single Customer View capabilities
-   Master Data Management (MDM)
-   Customer-centric data architectures

-   Experience with CRM ecosystems and customer technology platforms.
-   Strong understanding of:

-   Customer profiles
-   Customer data models
-   CRM capabilities
-   Marketing technology
-   Data governance

-   Experience working with data engineering and governance teams.
-   Ability to influence business and technology stakeholders.

## Requirements

### Required Skills & Experience

-   Enterprise Architecture or Domain Architecture experience.
-   Strong understanding of retail business capabilities and technology landscapes.
-   Experience working across complex transformation programmes.
-   Experience supporting procurement and technology selection processes:

-   RFI
-   RFP
-   Technical assessments
-   Vendor evaluations

-   Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
-   Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
-   Ability to challenge vendors and drive informed decisions.
-   Comfortable working at both strategic and detailed technical levels.
-   Proactive, pragmatic, and delivery-focused approach.

### Engagement Details

-   Contract engagement initially expected to support strategic transformation delivery.
-   Must go into London office 1-2 days a week.
-   Initial 6 month contract, sits outside IR35.
