**POSITION SUMMARY:**

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering students to join our team as a Student Engineer Intern. In this role, you will support engineering, manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic transportation manufacturing environment.

As a Student Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to help solve technical challenges, support production activities, and contribute to projects that drive innovation, quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO:  
**The Student Engineer Intern supports the Engineering team by contributing to product design, testing, technical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while helping develop innovative, high-quality transportation solutions.

-   Use CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) to develop and refine designs.
-   Assist in creating and releasing engineering drawings and documentation.
-   Conduct engineering calculations and research to support design decisions.
-   Prepare for and support testing activities, including data collection and analysis.
-   Collaborate with the team to improve processes and drive innovation.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:**

-   Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
-   Strong communication and organizational skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-   Basic understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and problem-solving methodologies.
-   Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with engineering and design software such as Siemens NX (Unigraphics), AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms is considered an asset.
-   Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-   Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous learning.
-   Previous manufacturing, production, co-op, internship, laboratory, or engineering-related experience is considered an asset.

**Standard Work Schedule:** Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:30AM – 4:00PM
