# ServiceNow Technical Architect - Oracle Database Migration

## Description

We are looking for an experienced **ServiceNow Technical Architect** with strong hands-on experience in **database migration projects**, specifically involving **Oracle databases**.

The ideal candidate should have **personally participated in or led an end-to-end Oracle database migration**, preferably involving migration from Oracle to another database platform, including **RaptorDB / self-hosted database environments**.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Lead the technical architecture and execution of **Oracle database migration projects**.
-   Design migration strategies, architecture, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
-   Assess existing Oracle database environments, schemas, tables, dependencies, and data structures.
-   Plan and execute migration activities from **Oracle to RaptorDB or other target databases**.
-   Ensure data integrity, completeness, performance, and security throughout the migration.
-   Coordinate with ServiceNow, database, infrastructure, application, and integration teams.
-   Troubleshoot migration issues and develop solutions for data compatibility and performance challenges.
-   Manage migration testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration support.
-   Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, architecture diagrams, and rollback strategies.

## Requirements

### Required Experience

-   **8+ years of IT experience**, with strong experience as a **ServiceNow Technical Architect / Senior Technical Consultant**.
-   Strong ServiceNow technical architecture and integration experience.
-   **Proven hands-on experience with Oracle database migration projects.**
-   Must have worked on **at least one end-to-end Oracle migration project**, not just Oracle administration or support.
-   Experience with **database-to-database migration**, preferably **Oracle → RaptorDB / self-hosted database**.
-   Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, schemas, data structures, dependencies, and migration challenges.
-   Experience with data migration, ETL/data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
-   Experience working with APIs, integrations, middleware, and ServiceNow data/integration architecture.
-   Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
