**Department:** Administration

## Description

This is a 1099 Contractor position. Paid for completed work and MUST be able to operate individually with little guidance. MUST be able to develop budgets from scratch and complete all required documents with little to no oversight. We are looking for a self-sufficient up and coming development expert looking to grow with us.

### About Us

MVP360 Sports is a leading youth development organization with over 13 years of experience using sports as a vehicle for positive change. We empower youth through immersive sports camps (including major partnerships like Let It Fly Flag Football), leadership training, and holistic programs that build character, promote healthy living, and foster community impact.

**Operation: Rise Up!** (The Rise Up Experience) is our 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm dedicated to solving youth sports access challenges. We equip young people—especially in underserved communities—to rise above obstacles and become confident, productive leaders through the transformative power of sports and entertainment.

We operate with a signature **“360” approach** across three pillars:

- **Education & Career Development**
- **Healthy Living & Physical Literacy**
- **Social & Emotional Wellbeing**

Supporting these efforts are **MVP360 Management** (Veteran-Owned full-service events, marketing, branding, and business development agency). Together, we deliver high-impact sports camps, events, clinics, and community programs across dozens of states and internationally.

### Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, passionate **Grant and Sponsorship Writer** to secure funding that fuels our mission. You will research, write, and manage compelling grant proposals, corporate sponsorship packages, and funding requests to foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individual donors. Your work will directly expand access to youth sports programs, leadership initiatives, free/low-cost camps, and community events that change lives.

### Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, federal/state/local government agencies, and other funders aligned with youth development, sports, education, equity, and community impact.
- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, budgets, narratives, and supporting materials that clearly articulate our 360 approach, measurable outcomes, and community impact.
- Create professional sponsorship decks, pitch materials, and partnership proposals for corporate sponsors, event partners, and brands in sports/entertainment.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle: tracking deadlines, submitting applications, reporting requirements, and maintaining funder relationships.
- Collaborate with program staff, coaches, and leadership to gather stories, data, outcomes, and impact metrics (e.g., youth served, camps delivered, states reached).
- Support fundraising events and experiential marketing campaigns in coordination with TRUE Entertainment.
- Maintain a grants/sponsorships calendar, pipeline reports, and CRM/database of prospects and funders.
- Stay current on trends in youth sports funding, equity initiatives, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

- **Proven experience** (3+ years preferred) in grant writing and/or corporate sponsorship development, ideally in youth development, education, sports, or nonprofit sectors.
- Strong portfolio of successful grant proposals and funded sponsorships (samples welcomed).
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate program impact into compelling narratives.
- Familiarity with 501(c)(3) compliance, budget development, and outcome measurement.
- Passion for youth empowerment, sports as a development tool, and community building.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with sports/entertainment events or Veteran-owned initiatives is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.

### What We Offer

- Opportunity to make a direct, measurable impact on thousands of young people annually.
- Collaborative environment across interconnected organizations focused on creativity, excellence, and “Your Vision, Our Mission.”
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
- Flexible/remote-friendly work with growth potential as we expand camps and chapters nationwide.
